Q: What is the best way to travel around Germany?

The train (InterCity Express) & local public transportation is by far the most superior method of transport in Germany. For cross country travel, the high speed IC & ICE trains (Deutsche Bahn) are ideal. With that said, trains in Germany can be late/delayed from time to time, so take that into account. Within cities, cycling is a peaceful and convenient form of travel.

Q: What is a good month to visit Germany?

April to May & September to October are ideal travel times because of the moderate weather and of course, Oktoberfest (September to October). However each season in Germany offers its own version of fun. For Warm Weather: June to August Toasty warm weather, long days & fun festivals await. It’s no wonder this is one of the highest tourist seasons in Deutschland. For Low Crowds: December to February Not surprisingly, Germany’s coldest months scare off many travelers. If you’re looking for quiet sites and low crowds, this is the time to go. Be on the lookout for warm & toasty, food filled Christmas festivals and snow related fun. For Snow Related Activities: December To February Intense frost, heavy snowfall and supreme skiing conditions. This season is for the snow-sport lovers.

Q: What is the prettiest part of Germany?

This is a tough one, but Black Forest, Berlin, Trier and Munich are considered Germany’s gems. Deutschland has an endless array of visually stunning natural landscapes, historic monuments and serene sites. Some of which include; The Baltic Sea Coast The Harz Mountains Trier (Old City) The Moselle Valley

Q: Are Germans friendly to tourists?

Absolutely! Germans are very welcoming and hospitable to those visiting their nation. From Berlin to Cologne, they are known for their warm, welcoming nature. To keep yourself in good standing with German locals, keep the following in mind Pay attention to & obey recycling prompts. When you’re invited to a German home, a nice bottle of wine or flowers are a great way to say thank you. Stay away from German stereotypes (thinking Germans are stiff necked, cold, calculated people). It simply isn’t true and will be dispelled from the moment you land. Avoid pictures & lighthearted behavior at historically painful sites (Jewish Memorials, WW2 Centers & Concentration Camps). Keep time. One thing Germans value is their time. Q: Does Germany accept US Dollars?

No. It is not advised that you pay for anything using US dollars. When paying for a service or item, you need to convert your USD into Euros. It’s best to do so at an ATM, or for convenience, at the airport when you land ( keep in mind, Germany has a 10,000€ restriction upon entry).
