Now, let's wander with our soft drink through the bustling fish market, where I'll share its fascinating history with you. Feel free to stop at any stall that piques your interest - whether it's the fresh seafood, colorful fruit, or vibrant vegetables. We'll take our time and soak up the sights and sounds

We'll make a stop at a colorful fruit and veggie stand, where we'll pick up some tasty seasonal fruit. As we walk, we'll enjoy snacking on fresh fruit, savoring the flavors of the season

This is an optional stop, where you'll have the chance to try a traditional dish made from cow or veal offal, such as intestines, stomach, and other organs. It's a hearty, humble food that's been cleaned and boiled for hours. Once you choose the cut you want to try, it's chopped into small pieces and seasoned with salt, pepper, or lemon. The flavor is strong, to say the least, but definitely unique and off the beaten path!

Local Bar - savoury stop

After exploring the market, we'll take a break at a local bar and dive into some of Catania's famous street food. From arancini to cipolline and cartocciata, we'll sample the best of the city's culinary delights. We'll sit back, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere while I share some interesting anecdotes about Catania's rich history!

Local Pastry - sweet stop

We'll head back to Piazza Duomo and stop at one of the best cafes in the city center. There, we'll indulge in a classic Sicilian cannolo filled with sweet ricotta, and if you have room, I'll treat you to a cassatellina, a traditional sweet from Catania that's tied to the city's patron saint, Saint Agatha. If you'd like, we can enjoy these delicious treats outside the cafe, taking in the stunning views of Piazza Duomo as we savor the flavors!

Ursino Castle - other soft drink

After enjoying our cannolo, we'll head to Castello Ursino, a major tourist attraction in Catania. This will be the final stop on our tour, and we'll end with a visit to another kiosk, where we'll try a typical Catania drink that will help us digest all the delicious food we've had. It's a refreshing, thirst-quenching drink with a unique twist thanks to a special ingredient that I'll tell you about when we're there, as we enjoy it together!
