If you love paintings and you want to spend some time surrounded by unforgettable artworks, my private guided tour at the Uffizi museum won’t disappoint you. We will focus on the greatest Florentine Renaissance paintings made by artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo amd many others.
The Uffizi Gallery will also give me the opportunity to talk about the Medicis, bankers and patrons in Florence, who commissioned it in the late 16th century and the function the building had at that time.
A fascinating journey through famous Renaissance Masterpieces and the life of their artists. Thanks to my profession as well as an Conservator of Paintings, I had the chance to get in touch and come closer to the most beautiful artworks made during the Renaissance Time.
Crossing Ponte Vecchio to the Oltrarno
We are going to the Oltrarno part of the City to have Lunch. The Oltrarn - literally “across the Arno" - stands apart from Florence’s busy central and eastern quarters. Traditionally it retains a peaceful and workaday atmosphere, full of artisans’ studios, antiques stores, bars, and small restaurants. Perfect area for lunch time. Lunch is not included and up to your choice.
Palazzo Pitti and Santo Spirito
The Palazzo Pitti, this enormous palace is one of Florence's largest architectural monuments. We discover the storys of the building and its inhabitants. Followed by a visit of the Santo Spirito church with the early masterpiece done by Michelangelo, the wooden Crucifix.
Renaissance Architecture Palazzo Strozzi - Palazzo Antinori
Crossing the Arno River we walk through one of the most prestigious streets of Florence, the Via Tornabuoni, with the most beautiful Renaissance Architecture in Florence. Like Palazzo Strozzi and Palazzo Antinori.
The Duomo Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore and Baptistery
We discover the religious heart of Florence. The Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore with the world famous dome made by the Renaissance Architect Brunelleschi. The Baptistery, one of the most ancient churches in Florence.

The David Experience
The story of David would inspire many sculptures and paintings during the Italian Renaissance, with Christian themes being prevalent within art at this time. It would be the specific tale of David overcoming Goliath that would be featured most often, as artists looked to harness this powerful tale as inspiration for their own work. Even just within this single art movement, there would be many different interpretations, and each generation would influence the next with their own innovations.
