Pompeii ruins

Pompeii is an extensive archaeological area—so large that navigating it on your own can be overwhelming. Once a prosperous and refined Roman city, it was buried beneath layers of ash and pumice after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. Ongoing excavations continue to reveal new findings each year, making the site ever more fascinating. To fully appreciate its most significant landmarks, a private professional guide is strongly recommended. Available upon request, your guide can also help you bypass the long ticket queues. This tour includes a two-hour visit to Pompeii.

Mount Vesuvius

Vesuvius is an active volcano, one of the most studied and dangerous in the world due to its high population and explosive characteristics. The highest peak is 1,281 meters. The crater, which is 1,000 meters high, can be reached with a 20/25 minute climbing walk. (2 hours).

Entrance tickets are timed and sell out quickly. It is recommended to book as early as possible with the agreed-upon entry timetable to best organize your tour.

Herculaneum ruins

The excavations at Herculaneum have uncovered the remains of an ancient residential city, entombed beneath layers of lava, ash, lapilli, and mud during the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius—alongside Pompeii, Stabiae, and Oplontis. To fully explore its most significant sites, a private professional guide is highly recommended. A guide can be arranged upon request and will also allow you to bypass the long ticket lines. Please note that this service is not included in the tour price.
