I am a young historian who has been working as a tour guide for 4 years. During this time I have met people from all over the world, which has taught me a lot about interacting with all kinds of people as well as showing my city in an authentic and interesting way. I like to take people to places that show another side of Mexico City, a closer perspective of how its inhabitants live day to day. I also enjoy taking photographs on my tours.

I've travelled extensively across the country and love to share my knowledge because it's like rediscovering everythin again!

Jacqueline F.
Hello my name is Jacqueline but some call me Jackie. I’m a native of the San Francisco Bay Area from a Mexican-Spanish household. I grew up bilingual and would visit family in Mexico City once or twice a year since childhood. After high school I came to stay for a year and never left! My Mexican culture is very dear to me and I’ve always been in love with the cultural wealth that my Motherland offers me. Though I’ve worked in several different areas of interest such as performing arts, yoga, ESL, interpretation and translation, I decided to certify as a tour guide with the Ministry of Tourism in Mexico and have been giving tours since 2014. I specialize in Mexican Muralism and Religious Tourism.

Mexico City Tour Reviews

“A Spectacular & Knowledgeable Tour”
Wendy & Pablo were fantastic guides as we made our debut journey through Mexico and we will intentionally seek them the next time we are here. Wendy’s deep knowledge of the land as well as local lore provided an enriching time as we visited ofrendas, artisan markets and other historical sites. Pablo was a safe and efficient driver who seemed to materialize whenever we needed a car. They are a wonderful team and made us both feel comfortable and welcomed. My wife and I are both disabled, and we were so carefully accommodated, which is a noticeably rare amenity. We deeply value the importance of cultural respect and not imposing our own country’s biases and expectations upon the peoples of other countries and Wendy & Pablo ensured that all of our visits to sites were equal parts honorable and transformative. What a blessing! 10/10

“CDMX City Center”
Everything was great. Roberto gave a very detailed history of Mexico and Mexico City through the eyes of several famous muralists. We also saw important cultural/historical centers like the cathedral and the Aztec temple. We never felt rushed and he gave us plenty of time to ask questions and learn. Great experience!

“Best Guide EVER!!!”
My girlfriend and I recently went on a trip to Mexico City for our anniversary, and one of the most suggested activities we were recommended was a trip to Teotihuacan. We decided it would be best to do a private tour so we weren’t just cattle on a bus like many of the groups we saw. After some research, I came across Rafael’s information and decided to book with him. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and passionate about history, he was the kindest and most engaging tour guide I’ve ever had. Our tour always a few hours long, and he showed us things that most people seem to skip when visiting the “Sacred Mountains.” Our tour was several hours long, was incredibly safe, beautifully thorough, and at the end we had a delicious and authentic meal that wrapped it all up. I wish we could have had him as a guide for every one of the wonderful things we did while in Mexico. 10/10 stars from me and my girlfriend (honestly it’s more like 20/10 stars) Rafael is the best. If you are doing a trip, I hope you are fortunate enough to experience it with Rafael. Look no further than him. Our visit to Teotihuacan was the best part of the whole trip and that is in no small part to Rafael. Not only did my girlfriend make unforgettable memories on this vacation, but I truly believe that I made a friend for life. THANK YOU AGAIN RAFAEL!

What is the best time of year to visit Mexico City?
Because of the moderate weather and exciting festivals, December to May is considered the best time to visit the city, but it's also the busiest, with larger crowds and booked venues. Depending on what you're looking for, these seasons could be your ideal travel time;
- May to June & September to November - Erratic weather, especially in September, means this is a low season for Mexico City. On the flip side, smaller crowds mean more intimate tour experiences at venues.
- July to August - Not too hot, not too cold, and not too crowded, July to August works for those with a traditional summer break schedule. Although rains are random, it's great for laid-back touring with minimal festivals and events.
