About Tour Guide Rafael G.
I've been guiding family and friends in Mexico for over 30 years, arranging tours, van rentals, accomodation, excursions, archaeological visits, museums, etc., Now I completed my official general guide course in order to be certified by the government to guide national & international guests. I love my country, its culture, history, etc. and know a lot of interesting facts besides the normal guidance for tourists. I've travelled extensively across the country and love to share my knowledge because it's like rediscovering everythin again!

“Wonderful Experience!”
We had the best day with Rafael in Mexico City. He picked us up from an airport hotel and truly introduced us to Mexico City on our first day. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything - from history, to food, to architecture and more. He was also super patient and let us practice our Spanish. :) We visited the Xochimilco canals and an axolotl sanctuary which was one of the highlights of our trip. Rafael answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and made the trip engaging from start to finish. If you're looking for an authentic, educational, and memorable experience in Mexico City, I can't recommend Rafael highly enough. Thank you for an incredible day—we'll be talking about it for years to come!

“A 'tour de force' highly impactful and memorable stay much enhanced by Rafael's experience, personality and efforts.”
We were most fortunate to engage Rafael for three days while in Mexico City. He curated a most extra-ordinary experience that immersed us in the long and complex arc of Mexican history covering pre-Columbian empires, Spanish colonialism and the modern tumult since independence. He was highly knowledgeable about details but wrapped the information in digestible bites that were both impactful and memorable with just the right touch of humor. He was flexible and responsive, adjusting aspects as we went along based on interests and energy levels. He also provided us with some 'out of the usual lanes' experiences that included the culinary. We would highly recommend Rafael if you are considering a stay in Mexico.

“Best guide ”
Rafael is the best travel guide you will ever have! He is extremely well studied as a historian and brings tons of personal experience and knowledge from a life spent well traveled. He is easy going and flexible, so your trip can be tailored to your interests and adapted as you go along. You will see and do things that only a local could show you. I went on a vacation, but left with a friend!
