I am a México City local who is in love with it. I love my whole country but I love my city more.
I have studied International Relations and Mexican gastronomy and it's history. I work as a tourist guide and in films as a chaperone; in there my job is to receive and take care of foreign producers and actors. Among the task, I take them to eat, party and find stuff that doesn't exist ( yes that happens).
As there are different requirements for this jobs I get to know the different parts of the culture, the exclusive, fancy, curious, popular, untidy; the whole ideosincrasy.
I am a serious foodie, also enthusiast about, coffee, beer, wine, mezcal and pulque (prehispanic drink).
I like to collect hidden jewels from my city and I also like to cook but preferably with the proper calm and telling the story and culture around the food. In order to have some balance I am sportively very active, I practice football soccer and rugby, also willing to go outdoors anytime.
When I was about to enter to study I wanted to do something good for my country; this jobs are a great way to do it, I am proud to show my culture.
I also like the fact that I get to learn from visitors, their way of seeing the world.
It is very rewarding when visitors leave happy.
“Gastronomic tour Mexico December 2024”
Very nice gastronomic tour organized by the polyglot guide Jacinto. Enjoyed it!
“A MUST small restaurant-hopping experience! ”
This really was one of the most enjoyable food walking tour experience that my husband and I have ever experienced. We got to try so many different things that we otherwise would've never gotten to try if we were to explore ourselves. Jacinto's love for food and his city is apparent from the start, and we got to enjoy a little piece of the city's food scene through a local's eyes. The itinerary was flexible depending on our interests, the pace calm. We loved everything about this tour and we would not hesitate to have Jacinto show us around again when we go back with family and friends.
“Jacinto is a gem!”
From the moment he picked us up at the airport, until he dropped is off in SMDA, 4 days later, our time with Jacinto was flawless. His love of his country, and his city CDMX was apparent. He knows his history, gave a great tour of Teotihuacan with interesting craft and food stops along the way. He also organized a wonderful guide for the Museum of Anthropology. He is easy to talk to and a foodie. He multi lingual and funny. Our time with Jacinto was a joy. I would highly recommend him.
