Pick up at your accommodation Hotel or Riad in Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley (7 hours drive).
We will meet you at your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech and we start our tour from Marrakech travelling to the Dades Valley via the Tizi n’Tichka Mountain Pass and over the High Atlas Mountains (2260 altitiude). Today, you will enjoy travelling through the fascinating views of the Berber Mountains villages. You will enjoy the amazing landscape changing as the day progresses. We will stop at the Unesco site – Ait Ben Haddou local Kasbah. It is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Moreover, the Kasbah still attracts movie makers and many movies filmed here such as Gladiator and Lawrence of arabia. Later, we will continue to Dades valley through Ouarzazate city and the road of “the Thousand Kasbahs”, which offers many fine photo opportunities of nature and people. We’ll get to Kalaat Mgouna – famous for roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May, then we drive to the “Dades Valley” and overnight stay at the Atlas Mountains.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel ride.
After breakfast, we leave the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley. In other words, we enjoy the panoramic views of the old Berber villages overlooking the valley. You walk yourself under the 300 m high red cliff. After lunch here, our tour from Todra continues to Merzouga via Erfoud city. We drive through the valley of Tafilalet, one of two largest date palm groves in Morocco to get to the Sahara Desert. Therefore, we will ride camels, guided by an experienced camel guide to experience the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert during the sunset. After that we will have dinner in a desert camp where we will spend the night with local show music.
Day 3: Merzouga to Fes via Ziz Valley and Cedar Forest.
Wake early, to see the sunrise and have breakfast. Next, we will keep driving a desert adventure trip to Fes city via the Ziz Valley or Gorges and cedar forest where Barbary Monkeys live – this is an interesting route with a stop for lunch in Midlet. Besides, Ifrane is worth stopping for a break. Drop off at your accommodation Riad/Hotel in Fes which was founded by Moulay Idriss I in 789, is a World Heritage Site.

The tour will cover some attractions that require comfortable shoes to hike, especially Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site and it is worth visiting. Moreover, the altitude of High Atlas Mountains is 2260 m high but including some stops to break the drive if you feel car sick. In other words, sun hats or sunglasses are good to have. Otherwise, winter time is good to have a jacket with you or a warm dress especially in the desert.
