Braga and Guimarães are two historical cities of Portugal's rich heritage. Explore Braga's known as the "Rome of Portugal" for its rich religious heritage and picturesque streets, then wander through Guimarães' medieval center, known as the "Birthplace of Portugal" for its significant role in the country's foundation.

Meeting Point
Hotel, Air BnB, Oporto Airport, Bus/Train Station, Boat Terminal
- Departure from your accommodation in a PRIVATE CAR. We will drive in the highway for about 1 hour where I will share information about Portugal history and current country situation.
BOM JESUS DE BRAGA
We will arrive in sanctuary BOM JESUS DE BRAGA, famous for its 573 stairs with beautiful gardens and sculptures. Here we will have enough time to explore the sight including the church.
BRAGA CITY CENTER & BRAGA CATHERAL
Then we will drive around 5 minutes to BRAGA CITY CENTER to explore its architecture and visit SÉ DE BRAGA, one of the oldest cathedrals in Portugal.
DRIVE TO GUIMARÃES
We will then drive to Guimarães for around 20 minutes to have lunch.
GUIMARÃES MEDIVAL CASTLE
In Guimarães, the birth town of Portugal, we will visit the famous MEDIVAL CASTLE built in X Century, year 958 and explore the relaxing surroundings.
PAÇO DOS DUQUES DE BRAGANÇA
Then we will visit PAÇO DOS DUQUES DE BRAGANÇA and its amazing history.
GUIMARÃES CITY CENTER
In GUIMARÃES CITY CENTER we will explore those lovely narrow stone streets, unique art craft local shops and inspiring atmosphere.
Ending Point
Drive back to your accommodation or other convenient place for you in Porto.

- All transportation from and to your accommodation in a private car.

- All entrance fees planned in the tour: Ride the Old Tram in Bom Jesus de Braga and entrance in the Church of Braga.
- Change of plans... during the tour, we can change a bit the plan, so we can do things at your own rhythm! Most important is for you to enjoy your time!
- You can choose to have some free time for lunch (I will give you some different options of restaurants) or you can choose to include lunch with drinks in the tour for an extra cost of 25€/pax.
- Personal expenses (souvenirs, drinks,...), and personal insurance.

“Wonderful Personalized Tour”
We (2 Americans) spent 1.5 days with Joana and would give her 10 stars if we could. She is attentive, thoughtful, sincere, flexible, and personalized our tour to our interests. “Douro Valley Tour: stunning views, excellent wine and food!”
This tour was easily my favorite experience during my vacation. Joana is a wonderful guide, very friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. She had a great day lined up for us with two wine tastings and a lunch. Douro Valley was absolutely breathtaking, and we had plenty of opportunities to stop, appreciate the views, and take pictures. “Excellent Douro Valley Tour”
On our second day we made an excursion with Joana to the Douro valley with boat tour and wine tasting. We could use her own spacious car, Mercedes. Again an excellent experience
