You will be guided through city center and visit the most important monuments. Then I will drive you to Bom Jesus and Sameiro sanctuaries, tourist-religious resorts where nature and art "give their both hands" to make both real ex-libris in the city of Archbishops.

Sameiro it is the second centre of Marian devotion in Portugal, after Fátima.

What‘s included

Guide fee, private transportation (Citroen C4 Picasso, 4 seater) and hotel pick-up, when in Braga. From Oporto will have an extra fee.

What‘s not included

Arriving from any other place than Braga, however it is possible to pick you up from any other place, please contact me for details.

Tour Important Information

Keep in mind that on mondays some monuments are closed, so visit will be only from the outside, except for Bom Jesus and Sameiro sanctuaries, which are always open.

About Tour Guide Fernanda S.

Hi there! Welcome to Guimarães and Braga, Portugal.

My name is Fernanda. In the past I have studied Tourism and worked as a hotel receptionist for 6 years in Oporto. I then returned to University and got a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese/Latin/Greek and became a teacher.

I like talking to people and I have enjoyed visiting cultural sites and monuments ever since I was a child. I especially like to communicate with people from other countries and cultures. Finally, Braga and Guimarães are two towns I know really well. For many years I studied in both Braga and Guimarâes, and I also worked for years in Guimarâes.

I would be happy to be your personal tour guide as I have done so many times for my overseas friends. I would love to take you to popular places as well as places unknown to the average tourists. I can provide you with the valuable insight of a local, along with a unique experience, as I have been doing for the last 10 years as a private tour guide.
