I will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in Oporto City Center, Porto Airport or Porto de Leixões Cruise Ship Terminal.
We will jump straight on to the highway and drive until we reach the Douro Valley. This will take 1h30 minutes by car but don´t worry, I will take my time, drive safely and will make stops at viewpoints along the way to ensure you can capture the moment.
Visit and tasting in a Winery
Visit and wine tasting in a local winery, you will visit the vines, olive trees, the lagar and you will privately confer with the owner of the wine estate or the winemaker.
Tasting olive oil and 7 Douro Valley Wines and Port Wine.
Great for a morning starter :)
Lunch in Douro Valley Wine Region
Lunch will be in a private old winery, the wine expert will pair food with wine, also you will taste local olive oil produced in Douro Valley.
Food and desert, will be paired with 10 Douro Valley wines and Port wines.

In total you will taste (or drink) approximately 15 to 16 Douro Valley wines, but rest assure, I won't be keeping up with you as I will be driving the car to get you back home.

About Tour Guide Ricardo M.
My name is Ricardo and I was born and raised in Porto City.
Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside.
In this last year 2020 and even this year 2021 with pandemic work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES
Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living your life.
Come and see my amazing town Porto and Douro Valley Wine Region from the eyes of a local !!!
