Arrival in Piodão

After arriving in Piodão, we have about 1:30h to explore this schist village nestled in the valley of the Serra do Açor, get lost in its narrow streets and take the opportunity to buy local products, and venture into its natural pool.

Visit Foz da Égua

Time to visit the lagoon of Foz da Égua, a picturesque place where we take a break to bathe and take some pictures in this unique place in Serra da Estrela.

Lunch at Poço da Broca da Barriosa

In this area there is a restaurant next to a waterfall, at the time of booking you should indicate if you want the guide to make a reservation in advance, there is also a picnic area if you want to bring something for lunch, and even a small bar where they serve some snacks.

Cortes do meio (Summer season)

In the village of Cortes de Meio also known as "the capital of wells" we have a walk of about 2 hours (optional) where we can find a series of waterfalls, where you can bathe or simply enjoy the surrounding landscapes.

Ascent to the tower area (Winter season)

At the highest point in Portugal, we make a stop of about 2 hours to enjoy the ski resort and local products such as the typical Serra da Estrela cheeses as well as the characteristic sausages of the region.
