I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains.
Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love.
I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort.
After becoming a guide, I met with guests from various backgrounds, and I feel grateful once again, for my experience to be exposed to different cultures in my youth.
Let’s have a good time together!

So I decided to become a licensed tour guide for introducing Japan to foreign tourists.
Now I live in Izu which is close to Mt.Fuji and Hakone.
I'm interested in Arts, Hot Springs, traditional places and of course delicious food.
I would like to introduce beautiful Izu which has lots of Geopark sites and traditional Hot spring resort "Shuzenji, Nagaoka, and so on.
Please Enjoy this area together!!

Since 2007 I have been an English-speaking tour guide, visiting most of the major sightseeing spots in Japan with international travelers. At the same time I have been working as an translator, mainly dealing with technical documents.
Shizuoka prefecture has a number of spots for sightseeing, but they have not been fully covered in English-language travel books or on the Internet. So, as a local tour guide, through the TripleLights services, I am hoping to introduce some of the attractiveness of this region to the international visitors.

Hello, I'm a resident of Ebina, Kanagawa, and am a national government licensed guide and interpreter.
I enjoy showing travelers the countryside of central Honshu, primarily Shizuoka, ranging from the beautiful Izu Peninsula, Shimoda, and the Port of Shimizu, to Kunozan Shrine and Ieyasu TOKUGAWA, the elaborate resting place of Japan's first shogun.
I also enjoy introducing travelers to Japanese culture through home visits with Japanese families, touring Zen temples, and explaining the intricacies of Japanese culture.
I am happy to arrange personalized tours to other places of your interest.
I’ve been a frequent visitor to Kyushu, too.
I am making the most of my long experience as a foreign language education services, escorting VIPs at the Sony showroom in Ginza, Tokyo.
I also offer services to help families and individuals relocating to Japan with VISA applications.
My hobbies are movies, strolling along the river in my neighborhood and am a novice at la lingua italiano.
Let's enjoy touring together, shall we?
I look forward to meeting up with you soon. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Setsuko!
I am living in Shizuoka City, Home of Mt. Fuji. It is a very attractive local city located in the middle of Japan.
It takes about only one hour from Tokyo or Nagoya by the super express Shinkansen.
I’d love to introduce you some historical places related to the first shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa, local arts and crafts and modern hobby manufactures as well as local specialities such as green tea, citrus fruits, and fresh seafood. Let’s visit scenic spots on the base of Mt. Fuji together. You can not miss many hot spring resorts in Izu Peninsula. I also recommend visiting industrial musems of Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda,Toyota, etc. in Hamamatsu area.
People in Shizuoka are very friendly and welcome guests from overseas.
Why don’t we share a wonderful time here in Shizuoka?
