I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains. Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love. I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort. “Fantastic visit around Mt Fuji”

We hired Motoyuki for a full day trip from the cruise port to the areas around Mt Fuji and had a fantastic time. We talked with many other people from our ship who took other excursions around the area, and none of them had an experience anything like ours. We took public transportation, and then a hired car Motoyuki had arranged. Not only did we get amazing views of Mt Fuji, but visited waterfalls, a sake brewery, a fantastic lunch, and a tea house! Amazing. Motoyuki is very, very familiar with the area and knew exactly what to show us. It was a fantastic day, and I would not hesitate to give Motoyuki our highest recommendation to anyone considering him.

“Half day tour with local guide. ”

We loved the variety of experiences the day with Yasuko offered. We particularly enjoyed the green tea plantation. Amico, our host was so inviting and could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Our guide was very organised and made our day simple but interesting and gave us a good local Japanese experience.
