“Shimizu stunning & fun”

We’re so glad we found Go with Guide and our tour guide Take. He deserves an A* for his expertise and kindness on our recent visit to your prefecture. Besides visiting the marine museum, seeing where Ocha grows and learning about 3 different types of tea and getting to taste hot tea at the shop, Shinto Shrine & viewing Fujiyama Taje was so thoughtful to share snacks, tea & writing a personalized postcard with each of our names in Kanji. Take has a good way of being organized, prepared & guiding the tourists to leave with more information. We all had a wonderful day with Take. We took 3 tours on our recent trip but would suggest this tour esp if leaving from the cruise port is easy and Take met and returned us to where our ship was docked.

“Highlights in Shimizu mit Take”

Wir waren nur einen Tag in Shimizu. Dieser Tag wurde durch unseren Reiseleiter Take zu einem besonders schönen Erlebnis. Er ging immer auf unsere Wünsche ein und gab uns einen Einblick in das japanische Leben. Take ist ein guter Erzähler und erklärte uns sehr viel. Ich kann eine Tour mit Take sehr empfehlen.

Thank you so much for your review! I had such a great time exploring Shimizu with all of you. Most importantly, I truly enjoyed meeting your wonderful family—Ruth, Manfred, Peter, and Patrizia. I fondly remember how excited everyone was to visit each spot. In particular, Peter was so touched to see the ocean, which is a rare sight for him, and Manfred seemed so relaxed, enjoying the tour at his own pace. I hope your stay here in Shimizu become a great memory through your cruise travel. Thank you again for such a lovely time!

“Great Day in Shimizu Port/Shizuoka City”

We had a wonderful day with Take san, who provided us an insightful tour of Shimizu. Our day included the Miho no Matsubara Pine Groves and the history behind this UNESCO World Heritage site, a visit to the Nihondaira Yume Terrace, which provided incredible views of Mt. Fuji, as well as the Nihondaira Tea Pavilion. We also had a short stop in a shopping area for us to purchase additional Shimizu teas. Take san was passionate about sharing his knowledge and showing us the sights and sounds of Shizuoka City. We saw Mt. Fuji from different viewpoints, which made the tour all the more magically. Thank you so much for your kind review! It was such a pleasure guiding you both. The view of Mt. Fuji was truly unique and beautiful that day—the outline of the sacred mountain was so clear, and even a few clouds gathered interestingly around the summit. However, more than that, I am so happy that I could share such a wonderful time with both of you here in Shimizu! It was a once-in-a-lifetime, precious encounter for me.
