I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains. Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love. I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort. After becoming a guide, I met with guests from various backgrounds, and I feel grateful once again, for my experience to be exposed to different cultures in my youth. Let’s have a good time together!

Welcome to Shizuoka in the central area of Japan. I was born in Hakone, Kanagawa Pref. and grew up in Izu Peninsula, also studied English at Kanagawa University in Yokohama. After graduation, I have traveled to a lot of countries such as Europe, U, S., Asia and lived in Australia for a year. I had a great time to visit there to have a wonderful experience. So I decided to become a licensed tour guide for introducing Japan to foreign tourists. Now I live in Izu which is close to Mt.Fuji and Hakone. I'm interested in Arts, Hot Springs, traditional places and of course delicious food. I would like to introduce beautiful Izu which has lots of Geopark sites and traditional Hot spring resort "Shuzenji, Nagaoka, and so on. Please Enjoy this area together!! Great Tour with a Great Guide

Moto was great. He knew where to take us to get the best views of Mt. Fuji, along with beautiful waterfalls, a great stop for lunch, a quiet temple, and a bonus stop at a green tea plantation. It was a fantastic tour. I would highly recommend.

A day trip to National treasure in Shizuoka

Shimizu

An Amazing Day!

We had a wonderful day touring with Jasmine (Yasuko). From our first contact, she has been so helpful and responsive. She was early to our meeting time and had taxis pre-arranged at each stop during our day. She shared so much information and found special experiences for us within our planned itinerary ( photos with the people who were participating in a festival at the shrine, making our own origami, a delicious lunch place, and amazing photos of Mt Fuji at the tea plantation). We highly recommend her!

Susan P.

Thank you so much for an excellent review. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed my tour. We were very lucky to see the view of Mt.Fuji despite the cloudy day. Also, accidentally could meet the special Tea parade event in Kunozan Toshogu shrine and took some photos together. See you in the future with a typical view of Mt.Fuji.
