I am Fumie Ueda, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in Atami, Shizuoka, only 50 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen trains. Atami is conveniently located at the foot of the Hakone mountains, and the base of the Izu Peninsula. It is also close to Mt. Fuji and the Shimizu Port in Shizuoka. I am excited to show you around beautiful places that I love. I grew up in Yokohama, spent 1 year as a high school exchange student in Allentown, PA in the US, went to college and lived/worked in Tokyo for about 10 years before coming to this beautiful onsen resort. Welcome to Shizuoka in the central area of Japan. I was born in Hakone, Kanagawa Pref. and grew up in Izu Peninsula, also studied English at Kanagawa University in Yokohama. After graduation, I have traveled to a lot of countries such as Europe, U, S., Asia and lived in Australia for a year. I had a great time to visit there to have a wonderful experience. “Wonderful and Knowledgeable”
Moto was very good at covering everything we wished on our agenda. He was both driver and guide. He was very careful of our safety. Moto had a high degree of knowledge and clear in advance of how to meet at the cruise terminal etc. No complaints, and would recommend.

“Relaxing & Great Tour”
Aside from the excellent weather we had, Moto took maximum advantage by taking us to the best spots to view Mt Fuji in all her glory. He took us to a secluded tea farm that offered majestic views of Mt Fuji & we were able to sample the fresh tea grown there. Lunch was at a very elegant restaurant frequented by locals which was simply delicious. Moto is a soft spoken guide who understood our desire to avoid crowded tourist spots. He was very flexible & was very gracious. I would highly recommend Moto to anyone who wants to explore the Shimizu region.
