About Tour Guide Yasuko Y.
Welcome to Shizuoka in the central area of Japan.
I was born in Hakone, Kanagawa Pref. and grew up in Izu Peninsula, also studied English at Kanagawa University in Yokohama.
After graduation, I have traveled to a lot of countries such as Europe, U, S., Asia and lived in Australia for a year. I had a great time to visit there to have a wonderful experience.
So I decided to become a licensed tour guide for introducing Japan to foreign tourists.
Now I live in Izu which is close to Mt.Fuji and Hakone.
I'm interested in Arts, Hot Springs, traditional places and of course delicious food.
I would like to introduce beautiful Izu which has lots of Geopark sites and traditional Hot spring resort "Shuzenji, Nagaoka, and so on.
Please Enjoy this area together!!
Bienvenidos

“A fantastic day trip to Fujinomiya near Fuji-san”
Yasuko waited at the Cruise Terminal in Shimizu for us and we spend a fantastic day with her. Went by train and taxi to Shiraito Falls. As it was Monday it was not that crowded and we enjoyed the falls very much. We got also a first impression about life outside the large cities. Mount Fuji was visible all day and we took fantastic fotos. After visiting the Hongu Sengen Shrine and learning about the rituals before climbing Mt. Fuji we visited the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center, a modern building and great experience inspired by Fuji-san. We fully recommend Yasuko as guide, she finds the right balance between information and enjoying the scenery. Thank you.

“Short tour but most enjoyable.”
Our tour started at Minho Pine Grove which was very impressive with grand old pine trees some 300 years old. Sadly Mt Fuji was clouded over but we throughly enjoyed our drive to Sumpu Castle Park. A surprise boat ride on the moat was interesting with a close up view of the magnificent stone walls many years old. The Park has some spectacular displays of cherry blossoms as well meandered around and also a lovely Japanese garden. Our drive back to the ship also passed by some beautiful shrines and more beautiful Cherry blossom. Yasuko Y. was a very nice guide and made our visit special and sent us some great photos taken during our tour. She even included one of Mt. Fuji which she saw on her way home - which was very thoughtful. Thank you Yasuko, a lovely tour and you’ll be happy to know we did get to see Mt. Fuji a couple of times the next day.

Susie san, thank you for a good review. I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed my tour around Shimizu, especially boat riding on the moat of Sumpu castle park. We were very lucky to get it that was operated during cherry blossom season on weekdays. Thank you for letting me know you could see Mt.Fuji the next day.

“Private tour around Shunzenji”
Yasuko met us at the train station, gave us a terrific tour of the wasabi farms and then onto Shuzenji. She booked a wonderful local restaurant overlooking the bamboo forest for lunch (traditional buckwheat noodles) and walked us around this charming spa town, where we saw the shrine to the second Shogun and the Shuzenji temple. Yasuko explained a lot about the history of the area and how it fits into Japanese history, the local myths and some of the local foods. She is a very experienced guide with excellent English and so friendly— we had an absolutely delightful time. Thank you Yasuko!

Hi! I am Macky. I am glad to accompany you on your tour to Japan and show you the beauty and experiences Japan has to offer. I am an English tour guide and I have guided many foreign visitors around Kamakura, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and Hakone. I love sightseeing myself and I enjoy food and wine… I have been interested in intercultural exchanges and have visited many places locally and overseas alike. I have strong passion in Japanese history, culture, and geography. More than just simply showing you the stunning beauty of the places, I love to impart the cultural and historical value of each sightseeing spot. The place I can guide tourists best is Kamakura which has major shrines and temples with historical and religious details. It can be fun not only to explore Kamakura from historical point of view but also experience various activities such as hiking, rental kimono-clad walking, and learning carving technique as well as soba noodle preparation. I am flexible. My guide is unique and comprehensive. If you want to make the most out of your trip, I can show you around and make you experience Japan to the fullest. I can accommodate the tour according to your needs and preferences giving you a hassle-free, enjoyable and memorable tour. I can also take you to non tourism places such as various factory tours in Yokohama and Kawasaki City.
