Feel Great Nature of Mt.Fuji & Mystical Forest Aokigahara
The Fuji Five Lakes and the Aokigahara Forest are fascinating natural wonders created by Mt.Fuji. They remain untouched nature sceneries. They are on the north side of the mountain, in Nation Park of Japan, and are only 2 hours away from Tokyo. It is the ideal place to purify mind and body in the tranquility of nature. Shore excursion from Shimizu port, the land of Mt.Fuji
Shizuoka is one of the most attractive sightseeing destination in Japan. Being in the southern part of the country, its moderate climate allows us to enjoy the warmth and sunshine even in the winter season. There are a lot of places to see in Shizuoka; scenic beauties and places of historical interest, with plenty of local cuisine dishes and flavors to taste. This tour guides a variety of local fascinations compactly, especially for cruise travelers who disembark at Shimizu port.
Shore excursion from Shimizu port, more closer to Mt.Fuji
This tour takes you more closer to Mt.Fuji, visiting Fujinomiya, which is 30km east of Shimizu port. This city is located on the southern foot of Mt.Fuji, being away only 20km from the top. There are so many spots worth seeing gifted from Mt.Fuji. Also, the gorgeous view of the mountain is always at the side of you. For going to and from there, we can take the local railways, which must be a fun experience, too.
Seashore Excursion from Omaezaki. Kakegawa & Fukuroi
The Omaezaki Port is located in the middle of Shizuoka Prefecture. This area is still not so popular with overseas tourists but is filled with attractions. The tour leads you to two local cities, Kakegawa and Fukuroi. These cities have prospered since the Edo era on the old route of Tokaido. There are several historical sites worth visiting. And guarantee that the scenery of the large tea fields along the way makes you peaceful and prosperous.
Mt.Fuji 5th station, a short hike of Ochudo & Okuniwa
The Ochudo, also known as Middle Road, was a special trail for ascetic practitioners that circled Mt.Fuji at the level of the fifth station. The trail is adorned by beautiful flora such as Japanese larch, Rhododendron, and Lingonberry and offers a majestic view of Mt.Fuji. The trail continues to Okuniwa, as Inner Garden which used to be a lateral crater. As it is named, pine trees and volcanic rocks create artistic landscapes by all nature.

“Unique Experience in Shimizu”
4 of us had a great time with Moto-san. We went to a tea plantation and got a detailed look at the tea harvesting machinery and were able to ask all the questions we wanted to. Then we drove to a tea ceremony. It was a long drive to get there, but the setting was gorgeous and we got to feed their koi plus they had some nice treats for sale. Moto also took us to a special Mt. Fuji view spot, but unfortunately it was too cloudy to see the mountain. The tea ceremony was about $4 per person!

“Fantastic visit around Mt Fuji”
We hired Motoyuki for a full day trip from the cruise port to the areas around Mt Fuji and had a fantastic time. We talked with many other people from our ship who took other excursions around the area, and none of them had an experience anything like ours. We took public transportation, and then a hired car Motoyuki had arranged. Not only did we get amazing views of Mt Fuji, but visited waterfalls, a sake brewery, a fantastic lunch, and a tea house! Amazing. Motoyuki is very, very familiar with the area and knew exactly what to show us. It was a fantastic day, and I would not hesitate to give Motoyuki our highest recommendation to anyone considering him.

“Great Tour with a Great Guide”
Moto was great. He knew where to take us to get the best views of Mt. Fuji, along with beautiful waterfalls, a great stop for lunch, a quiet temple, and a bonus stop at a green tea plantation. It was a fantastic tour. I would highly recommend.
