Hi, I’m Kyoko. I was born and raised in Kobe. After completing my education, I spent 25 years in London, where I taught piano and enjoyed a wonderful life in England. I returned to Kobe a couple of years ago to care for my elderly father and began a new chapter in my career as a tour guide. Kobe has recovered beautifully since the major earthquake 30 years ago. It is much quieter than Kyoto and Osaka, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time in Japan. I would love to show you the beautiful scenery of Kobe, from its mountains to its seaside. My typical tour starts at the herb gardens on the mountaintop, continues through the city center and Chinatown, and finishes at Harborland, a famous spot for photos and stunning views. It would be my pleasure to help you create wonderful memories in Kobe. I look forward to welcoming you on my tour.

Hi! Welcome to Japan. My name is Shoji Kitamura, a licensed English-speaking tour guide. Please call me Shoji that is the same sound as a sliding screen made of wood and paper you may have seen in a traditional Japanese room. I was born and raised in Yokohama next to Tokyo but lived for work in several beautiful and historical cities such as Nikko, Hiroshima, and Ise which have world heritage sites and/or national park. I fully enjoyed the nature, culture and lives in each city where I lived. I retired after 36 years with a national research institute of fisheries in 2016. During my career, I visited 5 continents except Antarctica, more than 20 nations for attending international scientific conferences, conducting collaborative research or teaching some technologies, etc. In Japan, I often took foreign scientists and government officers sightseeing. I had great times in these opportunities. Such experiences made me decide to become a licensed English-speaking guide interpreter after retirement to introduce Japanese nature, culture, foods, etc. properly to many tourists coming to Japan from all over the world. For more than 20 years I’ve been living in Nikko, which is located about 150km north of Tokyo, and designated as a World Heritage site and a National Park. If you consider a day trip from Tokyo, I strongly recommend coming to Nikko by 2-hour train ride from Tokyo. I am looking forward to showing you around in this historical and beautiful town. Besides Nikko, I can also guide you in Yokohama, my home town, and in neighboring city such as Tokyo and Kamakura.

My name is Shusaku. I was born and raised in Osaka, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of the region. During my travels to 10 different countries, I came to realize the importance of listening to the locals to truly understand the culture and charm of a place. This experience taught me that local knowledge and experiences are invaluable in building a deeper understanding and connection while traveling. In my tours, I make it a point to not only showcase the popular tourist destinations but also to share insights into the everyday lives of locals and the culture of the region. By incorporating stories and knowledge from locals, I aim to provide a more enriching travel experience. My mission in life is to foster a deeper understanding of the world through travel and to build connections with people from different backgrounds. I look forward to creating unforgettable memories and sharing new discoveries with all of you!

Hi, my name is Tak. I have seen travelers. And, I found they got tired of typical sightseeing spots, like crowded temples and shrines. There must be spots that fit your feelings and interests. Then, I’d like to propose. Why don’t you start a unique and original tour, only your heart goes? . I had guided Pokemon tour Ghost story tour Inari Shrines tour Live house tour Bento (lunchbox) tour Textile tour Papermaking tour I’ll search the site you want to see and create your unique itinerary. First, could you give your message about things you want to do and see in Japan? Let’s make a great time you can never forget. Thank you so much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. I live in SHITAMACHI, Tokyo, or an old residential town near ASAKUSA and UENO. My hobby is strolling. I walk around this area almost every day. I know even the smallest path, big and small museums, workshops of artisans, an impressive view of a gigantic tree, a beer bar in an impressive old house, unique souvenir shops, cats living in Yanaka, and many, many other attractive spots in this area. You can expect a day that no one reads about in guidebooks. So! I hope you name me the navigator for your fantastic memory-making tour!!!! I’m not so young, but I still love rock’n roll music. If you want to enjoy live music in Tokyo, I can also arrange the venue and occasion to suit your mood and boom.

Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years since I got married to a photographer who lives here. Originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively. I love travel both international and domestic. I myself love travel freely. That's how I love helping individual travelers like you. Love nature, gardens, trekking, greenery, also anime. My favorite is taking you to the off-the-beaten tracks where I love and sharing my seasonal favorites. I'm happy to make tailor-made tours only for you (up to 4 people) upon your request. ・Half Day as you like (up to 4 hours) : 40,000 JPY ・Full Day as you like (up to 8 hours) : 64,000 JPY ・Extra hour over 8hours : 6,000 JPY/hour I often spend multiple days with the same group to accommodate itinerary for multi days by including my seasonal favorites. I often do Mt.Fuji or Hakone tour. In many cases, the locations are mixed up between Mt.Fuji Five Lakes area and Hakone area, which are not the same place. Please refer to the map I uploaded on gallery to check the sites you are interested in. Also my blogs will help your understanding both areas - "The location difference of Mt.Fuji (Fuji Five Lakes) and Hakone". As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. I'm quite an outgoing person, ( but organized well! ), easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers. Can't wait to see you soon!

My job experiences are only in the military, but there are variety of specialties, so I didn't feel boredom. I lived in many places all over Japan, such as Hokkaido 10years, Chiba 15years, Okinawa 8years and more places. I am working for the half of month as a tour-conductor in Okinawa Japan. Rest of month, I live in Nagasaki Prefecture, and work as a Triple Lights interpreter tour guide. 我一邊在沖繩當旅遊服務員大概半個月,一邊在九州長崎當Triple Lights的翻譯導游工作剩餘的月。 I am registered as a Okinawa prefectural interpreter tour guide (English & Chinese), but don't have a whole Japan area certification. So I am brushing my skill up to get it. 我登記了沖繩縣的地域翻譯導遊(英/中文),可是沒有全國的。所以為了獲得全國導遊資格,我正在繼續學外語。 I speak English, Chinese (simplify & traditional) , no problem to guide you, not like a native though. 我會說英語和中文(簡/繁),作為您的導游沒問題,沒有母語的人那麼好。

I’ve called Japan home for seven years, embracing everything from Tokyo’s vibrant urban energy to the tranquillity of the countryside. Before becoming a guide, I explored Tokyo like a curious long-term traveller, uncovering unusual temples, quirky landmarks, hidden backstreets, local live music venues, rural mountain villages, and one-of-a-kind cultural gems. My passion lies in crafting immersive journeys that dive deep into Japan’s heart, sparking a sense of wonder and escape that makes travellers feel worlds away from home. I’m excited to guide you through the Tokyo labyrinth. This city is endlessly fascinating—so layered and dynamic that even with a lifetime here, you’d only scratch the surface. I’ll show you how to navigate it like a local, as mastering the transport system isn’t as tricky as it seems, and I’ll help you gain the confidence to explore Tokyo on your own while we focus on the city’s hidden treasures. Together, we can visit parts of Tokyo most travellers overlook—the nostalgic charm of the Shitamachi, the hustle of salaryman districts, the neon-lit buzz of cyber Tokyo, and tranquil local power spots. Let’s discover the city’s hidden depths and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Midori which means GREEN in Japanese. You can call me Midori or Green. I grew up and have lived all my life in Yamanashi Prefecture where Mt. Fuji is and it is only 2 hours bus riding from Tokyo. In my spare time, I hike and play badminton. I also like spending time with my two cats in my free time. I became a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2014, but I started working as a guide mainly in 2023. I worked for an English conversation school in Japan for 23 years and was teaching English and also helping Japanese students to become better English speakers. I realize that teaching and guiding are similar because the essential thing in both is that I could entertain people and I can respond to their requests. When I was in my 20s, I visited many countries. There I had locals or other tourists help me a lot, which made my time unforgettable. Therefore, as a guide, I would really like to assist your trip so that you can have a blast without inconvenience in Japan. In addition, in my tour, I would like to talk about not only how beautiful Mt.Fuji is but also how historical and attractive it is. If you are interested in my tour, please feel free to contact me. You can choose my fixed tour or if you wish, I can customize and make a perfect itinerary based on your requests. Let’s make an awesome trip together at the foot of Mt. Fuji! I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
