Karey san, M-K san, Thank you for your kind review. We started tour from Ryougoku, Sumo town, located west-north of Tokyo. At the Ryougoku station, we can find Sumo Exhibits like the actual size of Dohyo, Hights and handprints of big wrestlers, Portraits of tournament champions etc.. We walked around Sumo stable area, then went into Sumo Museum at National Sumo Areana, Kokugikan. Moved to Edo-Tokyo Museum where exhibits good summary of 400 years history of Edo & Tokyo. We had a short walk to Yasuda Garden Park, which was an old Japanese local lord residence in Edo. Used subway to Asakusa, we enjoyed beautiful Tempura lunch at a historical restaurant, Sansada, whose started its business in 1837, older than your country establishment. Enjoyed walking Nakamise, Sensoji, shopping streets in Asakusa. Final destination was Ueno, where we enjoyed firstly Edo area, Kaneiji, Toshogu, then secondly Meiji Tokyo area, International Library of Children’s Literature, beautifully reconstructed by Tadao Ando. Karey san, M-K san, Thank you for your kind review. I just want to refresh our tour day in Nov 2026. We started our tour from your hotel. Both of you are early birds and thank you for your waiting for me 30 min before! The weather is fine and we used subway to move to Imperial Palace. We talked the 400 years history of Japan from Edo to Tokyo in front of Nijyubashi Bridges of Edo Castle, now Imperial Palace. We walked to JR station, Yurakucho, through Bic Camera, got on a train to Harajuku. As you remember, North side of Harajuku is Meiji Shrine. enshrined for Meiji Emperor after his death, 1930. Thoughtfully designed by professional forest designer from the scratch supported by public donations. South side of Harajuku is Takeshita Street, which is a good contrast of Japan, old historical serenity vs modern vivid busy fashion. We walked along the Lunch & Omotesando Promenades, where you find unique and most cutting-edge architectures in Japan . We walked into Omotesando Hills designed by Tadao Ando. We walked to Shibuya and popped on to a typical Ramen noodle restaurant, where we enjoyed an authentic but a reasonable Ramen with Gyoza. After enjoying Shibuya Crossing, we moved to JR Hamamatsu Cho Station to visit Zojoji (Tokugawa Shogunate Family Temple) & Tokyo Tower. We used JR again to Shinbashi Station to return to your hotel. I believe we enjoyed a good & pleasant walking under Japanese autumn comfortable weather. My walking counter reached to 30,000 steps a day. Thank you for your long walking with me! Arigatou, Shin
