Kawagoe Highlights tour! Historic streets with Nice snack walks.

"Koedo" literally means "Little Edo" which is located about 30 minutes by train from central Tokyo. It's a compact town so quite suitable for one day trip. 
Kura-no-machi (old storehouse town) still has the atmosphere of Edo culture. These storehouses were built by carpenters from Edo in Meiji period.  

In Koedo Kawagoe you can ...
  wear kimono and take a walk in the town. (2,160 Jpy ~ / person )
  do sake (rice wine) tasting. (200 Jpy ~ )
  stroll in Kura-no-machi and enjoy shopping and eating.
  visit Toki-no-kane. (Time Bell Tower)  
  do some shopping in Penny Candy Alley. 
  have your hanko (seal) made. (3,500 Jpy ~  / takes 2~3 days, it depends on how busy they are. They can send it to your hotel )
  eat eels, soba noodles, udon noodles, sweet potato confectionery. ( Kawagoe has been famous for sweet potatoes. )
  visit temples and shrines. (Kitain Temple, Hikawa Shrine etc.) Especially in Kitain Temple you can meet 500 unique stone Buddha statues. (400Jpy)
  hire the rickshaw. (2,000 Jpy ~ / person  Their service depends on the weather)
  buy a nice Japanese hocho ( kitchen knife).

*Some shops will be closed irregularly.
*During high season and weekends, I recommend reservations in advance for kimono and some famous eel restaurants.

If you like, you can take the Koedo Loop Bus (500 Jpy for one day ticket) instead of walking.

Timeless Kawagoe: Tour Through Little Edo's History and Charm

Taking a stroll through the town, you will feel as if you have travelled back in time to ancient Edo period. You can experience the traditional  and pure Japan which you can't see  in Tokyo. At the Ichiban-gai street, you will see 100% fire -resistant houses which are more than 100 years old, and  "Toki-no-kane",which is said to be the highest wooden belfry in Japan. One-Day Trip to discover the Charms of Historic Kawagoe: A Journey Through Time

Travel back in time to the Edo era and witness the great and amazing historical and cultural legacies of ancient Japan. In the morning, he will take you to Nakain Temple by the Koedo Loop Bus and then walk to Kitain Temple. By visiting these two temples, you can see the spectacular Japanese architecture and realize how much Buddhism really influenced Japan at that time. If you are coming on this tour in Spring, the area around the temples will be filled with blooming cherry blossoms and other kinds of beautiful flowers. After having lunch at a famous Soba restaurant, you will visit Kawagoe castle, where the feudal lords used to live in the Edo period. Here, you will be able to see a  traditional Japanese garden and many different rooms inside the castle, including amazing paintings on the cedar doors and walls. Then you will visit Hikawa Shrine, a shrine for love and relationships.
