About Tour Guide Kota A.
Hello everyone! My name is Kota.
After graduation from a university in Japan I spent a year in Vancouver, Canada, on a working holiday. While working as a server at a sushi restaurant, I had many opportunities to interact with guests who loved Japan, while also learning about Canadian culture from them. Those experiences became truly meaningful to me, and now I would like to take on that role here in Japan—sharing the beauty of my country with visitors and creating unforgettable memories together.
Tokyo is a world-famous metropolis, but beyond its well-known landmarks, it is full of hidden gems that are less crowded and waiting to be discovered. I would be delighted to explore such places with you and do my very best to make your trip to Japan a wonderful experience.
Since I am originally from Hiroshima, I am also very familiar with Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. I would be happy to give you helpful advice if you plan to visit those areas. And if our schedules align, I would love to guide you around my hometown Hiroshima, as well as Shiga where I spent my student years, or even Kyoto and Osaka. Please feel free to reach out anytime!
I enjoy watching soccer (especially Manchester United!), and I also like beer and whisky.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you all :)

“Spectacular guide, especially for families!”
We had SUCH a terrific experience. It was our very first day in Tokyo, father and teenager, and everything we did was fun for us both! Kody did such a good job of explaining things, took over 50 great pictures for us, and knew just how to guide us to a great variety of food that we both enjoyed. PLEASE, let him guide you and your kids!!!

Dear Martin and Harry, Thank you so much for your kind review! It was truly a wonderful time for me as well. Although it was just one short day, I’m so happy we didn’t have to worry about the rain and that we were able to share so many great conversations! I feel like I’ve made new friends in NYC ;) If I ever visit NYC, I’ll definitely reach out to you! I’m really looking forward to seeing you again ;) Best regards, Kody

“Wonderful day in Tokyo”
Kota and Eri were wonderful hosts for our post-cruise day in Tokyo. The communication leading up to our tour, pickup, and during tour were great. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. We had to adapt when our luggage would not all fit comfortably in the van, and they were quick to adjust. We saw everything we’d hoped to see and had a delicious lunch at a place we would not have found on our own. Would definitely tour with Kota and Eri again!

Although our time together was short, I sincerely hope we can meet again someday. Please be sure to reach out when you come back to Japan! Thank you again ;) Kota

“The perfect guide ”
Kody is an excellent guide. Communication started well ahead of the tour and no request was too big. He organised an incredibly enjoyable and informative daytime tour and a very fun nighttime one the following day, both based on our preferences. Kody is also a brilliant person - his tours feel like spending time with a highly knowledgeable friend as opposed to a school trip.

Dear Carlos, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! Although it was a cold and rainy day, we were able to share many conversations, and it turned into a truly fulfilling day. I also had a very meaningful and enjoyable two days with you. Thank you again! I always aim to guide in a relaxed and friendly way, more like a friend than a formal guide, so your kind words truly mean a lot to me. I very much look forward to seeing you both again! Kody

Promenade--from Tokyo Station to the Imperial Palace
Without any doubt, this is one of the most beautiful promenades in Japan, and also, especially historical road. At first sight, it doesn't look a lot of historical signs concealed. I'll tell you such secrets of this promenade taking a stroll on this road. There's no splendid palace like Versailles, but we can find remains of "Castle" in many places. That's the secret of this road because It's the scene of Japanese revolution, a dramatic and irreversible social change llike French revolution.

Temple or Shrine, Let's distinguish together!!
You may visit to the historical places when you come over to Japan. If you visit to Kyoto or other historical places, I highly recommend you to know the difference between the shrine and temple based on your knowledge. Tokyo has been the center of Japan not economical but cultural and historical places. I will take you to the place you can feel the time passed over 150 years with the urban style of Tokyo.
