About Tour Guide Kota A.
Hello everyone! My name is Kota.
After graduation from a university in Japan I spent a year in Vancouver, Canada, on a working holiday. While working as a server at a sushi restaurant, I had many opportunities to interact with guests who loved Japan, while also learning about Canadian culture from them. Those experiences became truly meaningful to me, and now I would like to take on that role here in Japan—sharing the beauty of my country with visitors and creating unforgettable memories together.
Tokyo is a world-famous metropolis, but beyond its well-known landmarks, it is full of hidden gems that are less crowded and waiting to be discovered. I would be delighted to explore such places with you and do my very best to make your trip to Japan a wonderful experience.
Since I am originally from Hiroshima, I am also very familiar with Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. I would be happy to give you helpful advice if you plan to visit those areas. And if our schedules align, I would love to guide you around my hometown Hiroshima, as well as Shiga where I spent my student years, or even Kyoto and Osaka. Please feel free to reach out anytime!
I enjoy watching soccer (especially Manchester United!), and I also like beer and whisky.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you all :)

“Kody (aka Kota) is a rare find. Outstanding in every way.”
I'm giving Kody (Kota) five stars only because the format doesn't allow me to give him six, seven, or 10. ;-) He is truly the perfect guide, welcoming me at Haneda with a custom sign, running interference with the Japan Rail Pass agent sorting out some complications with my itinerary, (a long conversation in Japanese) helping me navigate the train to central Tokyo and then walking me to my hotel and making sure check-in went smoothly. After a 15-hour flight from New York, how great not to have a stress, making my entry into Japan easy and enjoyable. Kody's English is superb, his personality sparkles. It's clear he loves his native country and he loves introducing tourists to this magnificent culture. Thank you, Kody, for all of your assistance.

“ 5 stars – Wonderful Mt. Fuji Experience with Kota ”
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our private Mt. Fuji tour with Kota. He was extremely kind, friendly, and always attentive to our needs throughout the entire day. His professionalism and availability made the trip feel smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Even though we couldn’t visit Lake Kawaguchiko due to circumstances along the way, Kota immediately provided excellent alternative recommendations and adapted the itinerary with great care. His local knowledge and thoughtful suggestions helped us enjoy the beauty of Mt. Fuji in the best possible way. We truly appreciated the time spent together, his warm personality, and the genuine effort he put into making the day memorable for us. It was a fantastic experience, and we would gladly choose him again. Highly recommended! Radu Cezar

Dear Radu, Thank you so much for your warm and wonderful review. The traffic was far heavier than expected and I am sorry for the inconvenience it caused at the beginning of the trip. Even so, I am truly grateful that we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and spend such a lovely time together. How was your time in Kyoto, Osaka and Kanazawa? I hope your journey continued to be enjoyable and memorable. Please come back to Japan again during your next holiday or vacation. I will be really happy to see you again soon. Thank you once again. Kody

“Amazing Tour Guide! ”
Our tour guide in Japan was truly exceptional—knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly organized. He made every moment feel effortless, from navigating busy stations to explaining the history and culture in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely interesting. What stood out most was his kindness and attention to our son, making sure he was engaged and having fun the entire time. We never once felt rushed, and he always anticipated what we needed before we even asked. This was honestly one of the best guided experiences we’ve ever had, and we’re so grateful. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Japan!

Dear Denise, Thank you so much for your warm and lovely message. I truly enjoyed the two days we spent together. I am sure it was a tour with a lot of walking and it may have been tiring, but I hope you still had a wonderful time. Please let me know when you come back to Japan! I would be very happy to guide you again, not only in Tokyo but in other areas as well. I especially hope you can visit Hiroshima, my hometown. Thank you also for the wonderful shirt and the letter. I wore it right away and went to the gym haha I sincerely hope our paths will cross again. Kody

Promenade--from Tokyo Station to the Imperial Palace
Without any doubt, this is one of the most beautiful promenades in Japan, and also, especially historical road. At first sight, it doesn't look a lot of historical signs concealed. I'll tell you such secrets of this promenade taking a stroll on this road. There's no splendid palace like Versailles, but we can find remains of "Castle" in many places. That's the secret of this road because It's the scene of Japanese revolution, a dramatic and irreversible social change llike French revolution.
