Kawagoe is in the western part of Saitama prefecture next to Tokyo. It is a long-established commercial town from Edo Era. Unlike Tokyo, it survived air-raids of World War Two because it was in the suburbs of Metropolitan. Thanks for that, there are lots of traditional buildings and houses of different ages in a good condition. Now then, this place is getting more and more popular not only among foreigh tourist but also Japanese tourists.

It's about 30 minutes train ride from Ikebukuro, one of the terminal stations in central Tokyo.

little bit modern houses and buildings.

“A+ Guide! KOHOKO WAS TERRIFIC. ”
The 2 days we spent touring Tokyo with “Koko” far exceeded our expectations. She took us to multiple locations based on our interests and detailed communication before arriving. “2 Days Of Amazing Experiences Around Tokyo”
