This tour begins at the iconic Kadokawa Culture Museum, a striking architectural masterpiece designed by Kengo Kuma, where art, literature, and design come together in an immersive cultural experience. From there, we travel to Kawagoe—known as “Little Edo”—to stroll through its preserved warehouse streets, visit the famous Bell Tower, and explore traditional shops and local sweets.

Kadokawa Museum
Spend an hour inside the museum. You can start on the First Floor and read their Translated English Manga then proceed to 4th Floor on Edit Town and browse numerous books depending on your interest. Book Collection is also available in the Attic Step. Donot miss the Projection Mapping Show at the Book Theater that runs every 20 mins.

Commute to Kawagoe
Headed back to JR Higashitokorozawa Station then get off to Kita Asaka station for Tobu Tojo Line straight to Kawagoe station
Toki no Kane
Take a photo of the famous Tori no Kane or Clock Bell Tower.
Stroll the food shops nearby and try some sweet potato chips, steamed manju cakes filled with sweet potato and red bean or sweet potato ice cream.
Kawagoe is called sweet potato kingdom during the Edo period known for its high quality.
Shop for souveneirs at Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley)
This place is famous for traditional japanese sweets, small toys and accessories.
You can also find a merchandize store of a famous japanese web manga character Chiikawa here in Kawagoe.

Half Day in Omiya
Spend half a day with me in Omiya, Saitama, a great day trip from Tokyo, around 35 minutes from Tokyo station or Shinjuku station.
