About Tour Guide Hiroko D.
Hi, I'm Hiroko. I was born in Kyoto and currently live in its suburb. My parents are also from the ancient capital city, so some of its historic places were like my playgrounds when I was a child. Now, as a national certified tour guide, I would like to show you around not only Kyoto but also Osaka and Nara enjoyably and time-effectively. For your reference, I lived in New York, U.S.A. for about 20 years and worked there for about 17 and a half years, so I believe that I will be able to communicate and speak well with you in English. “Patient. Funny. Knowledgeable. All-in one great guide”
Hiroko impressed us deeply with knowing everything about the Japanes culture. Not just related to Kyoto. But any and all questions were answered with fact and details that made history come alive. Great vocabulary from the many years living in US made this worth every yen. We have learned more than we had hoped for. And the Hiroko topped it with finding a gem of a lunch restaurant - hidden completely from the average tourist’s path.

“Kyoto custom tour ”
If u are in Kyoto area don’t hesitate and book with Hiroko . My family of 4 (2 teen aged girls)had a wonderful day with her . She is so organized , knowledgeable, genuine and kind . She provides adequate information for every place you visit so that what you see is more meaningful . She is easy to talk to and is a native from Kyoto area , she lived in the United States for 20 years so speaks very good English and understands world Cultures . You can see Kyoto on your own , however traveling with Hiroko will make the entire day much much more memorable and meaningful and you will leave the area with a greater understanding of the sites you visit . She is also fun and engaging with the children . She also was flexible and stopped to do the little things that my girls or myself wanted to do. Along the way she also suggested nice shopping and snacking spots based on your interests . We had an amazing soba / udon Lunch with her , which was also so much more fun as you can learn about Japanese culture along with your meal . Thank you Hiroko !
