Kyoto (Living), Nara, Osaka
Hi, I'm Hiroko. I was born in Kyoto and currently live in its suburb. My parents are also from the ancient capital city, so some of its historic places were like my playgrounds when I was a child. Now, as a national certified tour guide, I would like to show you around not only Kyoto but also Osaka and Nara enjoyably and time-effectively. For your reference, I lived in New York, U.S.A. for about 20 years and worked there for about 17 and a half years, so I believe that I will be able to communicate and speak well with you in English. My motto as a guide: If you are happy, I'm happy. Please don't hesitate to ask me to customize your tour. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
We booked a tour with Hiroko prior to leaving Australia. We had been busy and didn't have an opportunity to research Kyoto. Hiroko proposed some options for a tour with her and prepared an itinerary with the places that stood out to us. This made it a very easy experience for us. We had a wonderful time with Hiroko. She made us feel very comfortable and went over and beyond. Recommended a nice little restaurant for lunch and helped us order. Was very informative about the places we visited. I would highly recommend Hiroko to others.
Nicole and Brad, Thank you very much for your generous and quick review. You are a very nice couple, and I really enjoyed being your guide in Kyoto. I hope that you will get a chance to visit here again in the near future as there are many more to see. Please have a great time for the rest of your stay in Japan. All the best, Hiroko
We had a great day with Hiroko and learned a lot touring some of the key historic and cultural sights of Kyoto, learning about local food in the markets and a great local lunch of Japanese pancakes. She is also a lovely person so made even more enjoyable. Thanks Hiroko!
Elizabeth, I am truly grateful for your kind, generous and quick review. I also had a wonderful day with you and your family. All your children especially impressed me with their brightness and politeness. I hope that you will visit Kyoto again in the near future as there are more to see here. Please send my warm regards to your family. Best wishes, Hiroko
Hiroko guided us through Kyoto for 6 hours and it was a wonderful experience. She took us on the train and subway expertly so that we were able to see as much of Kyoto as possible in a day. We never could have accomplished this on our own. We had tea at a gorgeous little place in the Gion and learned so much about Kyoto and the culture. Unfortunately, the lines and crowds were so long at one temple that we decided to forego the last one. We were exhausted by then and Hiroko escorted us to a terrific ramen place to end the day. I think we overplanned and tried to do too much, but Hiroko did her best to take care of us and make sure that we were ok. She is a lovely woman and I highly recommend her as a guide.
Debbie, I feel truly honored by your generous and kind review. You and Peter are so nice, and it was all my pleasure being your guide in Kyoto. I hope that you will visit over here again in the near future as there are many more to see. Please send my warm regards to Peter. Kind regards, Hiroko
Hiroko thoughtfully curated an excellent, efficient and tailored tour that checked all the boxes for my family and me. I am an amateur photographer, and had asked Hiroko to focus on opportunities to photograph beautiful fall foliage. Hiroko planned a great itinerary for us and managed time very effectively yet respectfully so that we were able to enjoy all the main attractions as well as to take great photos. The places Hiroko took us were stunning and we had a fantastic time. She was also an extraordinarily helpful interpreter in a few situations where we really benefited from being with a Japanese-speaking person, and provided great recommendations. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in a guided tour of Kyoto.
Nancy, I am deeply grateful for your generous, kind and quick review. Both you and your family are so intelligent and kind, and I really enjoyed being your guide. I hope that you will visit Kyoto again in cherry blossom season in the near future. Please have a great time for the rest of your stay here in Japan! All the best, Hiroko
