“I recommend a guided tour with Fuji (Akira)”

Our original tour guide ended up canceling a few days earlier due to illness. The agency was quick to find us a replacement to avoid any impacts to our schedule. It was like this was meant to be, we were paired up with Akira, which also goes by Fuji. Fuji not only has in depth knowledge of this region's history but he is very pationate about its culture as well. We didn't just go see shrines and temples, we got 1st hand history lecture from Fuji which elevated our appreciation of the sites we visited. Its one thing to go hop back and forth between places just to stare at structures, and total different experience when you have a guide explainning the meaning of every single detail in these beautiful sites. I highly recommend you book Fuji if you plan to visit Kyoto, you will not be dissapointed. As a bonus, he is also a great photographer and took killer pictures of our family during our trip to Kyoto. We had a great tie with akira he is extremely knowledgeable about Japan history shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. It w very good to have a car and driver. He w also able to recommend a restaurant for dinner. Overall highly recommended

“Amazing guided tour”

Akira was a consummate professional and very knowledgeable. He was very responsive to my inquiries while trying to plan my visit to Kyoto. He communicated and arranged to pick us up at Kyoto Station. Not only was he a professional tour guide, he customized our tour at the last minute to include a remote spot to accommodate my daughter’s interests. He also recommended a lovely yutofu restaurant near Nanzenji. My daughter’s friend who didn’t like tofu in the US, loved the yutofu at Kyoto Goemon Chaya. We were able to get to Fushimi Inari before it got busy and enjoyed the torii gates. Akira gave us the history of Kyoto, Shinto shrines vs Bhuddist temples. We learned a lot from Amita. His love to share his knowledge of Kyoto and history will be remembered forever. We will definitely be recommending Akira to our friends in the future.
