About Tour Guide Yoko T.
I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. Born in Sasebo Nagasaki Prefecture, I live in Fukuoka city now.
I cultivated the spirit of hospitality during my career at hotels in Asian countries, including Malaysia, Maldives, and Thailand, and at a hotel in Australia. After returning to Japan, I engaged in inbound tourism introducing great sites, Japanese culture, and Japanese food.
I confidently show around historical sites and urbanized areas and introduce delicious food in Fukuoka and Kyushu. I guide you to beautiful places according to your plans. I like traveling at home and abroad, watching movies, sports, and comedies. I also love music and often go to live concerts. Therefore, I can share a wide range of topics.
I am looking forward to seeing you and will help you make memories.

“Itoshima oyster shacks group of 8”
Hi traveled to itoshima oyster shacks with Yoko, she handled the reservation as well as going to the oyster shacks. She was very on time and had to research as we were her 1st group going there.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was very cold, but I'm so glad you enjoyed the Itoshima Oyster Hut Tour. Not only the oysters, but the scallops, abalone, and shrimp were delicious too. Please come visit Fukuoka and other parts of Kyushu again! Sincerely, Yoko

“Wonderful care beyond a tour guide”
YOKO is a very helpful and friendly tour guide—always smiling, accommodating, and a joy to be with. She even went beyond the tour days, responding to my questions and helping us navigate through Fukuoka. Her dedication and genuine care truly stand out, and I highly recommend her to anyone visiting Fukuoka. - Marcus Del Rosario We have visited Japan 5X to date, and hired the services of 3 local tour guides in Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe, Sapporo and now in Fukuoka with YOKO. We were really happy with YOKO. She was professional, thorough, informative and was even quick to help find the lost handbag of our daughter-in-law at the Canal City mall. - Ma. Mercedes Tioseco and Ricardo Martin We are incredibly grateful to have had YOKO as our tour guide. I experienced a terrifying bag scare in Fukuoka after leaving my bag—with all our passports—inside a mall restroom. Panic completely set in, but Yoko stayed calm, compassionate, and reassuring, guiding me step by step through what to do. She contacted mall security, stayed with me at the information desk, and thanks to her dedication, my bag was safely returned. YOKO truly went above and beyond. She was an absolute angel that day, and we could not have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended. -Paulette Del Rosario

Everyone, I'm deeply touched by your kind comments. You showed such interest in Japanese culture and history, and listened to my stories with such sincerity. During lunch, I also enjoyed hearing about life in the Philippines and your families. It felt like spending time with friends. There was an unexpected incident, but luckily the lost item was found. I'm truly grateful to whoever brought it from the restroom to the information desk. Please continue to enjoy your travels in Fukuoka and Kyushu. Yoko

“Excellent! Truly amzing tour by Yoko!”
My family and I's experience was truly amazing! We wanted to experience a tour of the local Japan culture of the Fukuoka Prefecture and we got it! From experiencing the shrines and temples to the Japanese Garden waterfall was definitely worth our while! We will definitely book a tour with Yoko again if we can and next time we want to see the lying budda and more waterfalls. 10 out of 10!!!

Thank you very much for joining my Fukuoka Historical Tour the other day. I was overjoyed to receive such a wonderful review from you. It was an extremely hot day, but I was delighted to see you enjoying the tour with such energy and smiles. You listened so keenly to the historical stories—it was truly a pleasure to share them with you. I greatly enjoyed talking about the origins of Fukuoka and Hakata, as well as the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival. I was deeply moved by your kindness. I would be honored to guide you again—perhaps to see the great Buddha at Nanzoin or other places you find interesting. I’m already looking forward to the day we meet again.

Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience. We all love traveling after all. I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

Hi, I’m glad you found my page! I’m a local guide based in Kyushu who loves sharing the region’s history, food, and landscapes in a relaxed and friendly way. Think of me as someone who can make your trip comfortable and memorable, while keeping things easygoing and fun. I began guiding to share the history, scenery, and food of my home with visitors from around the world. Before this, I worked in luxury retail, where I learned how important details and genuine hospitality are. Now I bring that same spirit to my tours, making sure every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and free to enjoy their journey. I specialize in private car tours around Kyushu, so you don’t have to worry about train schedules or carrying luggage. We can stop where you like, take things at your own pace, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Onboard you’ll have free Wi-Fi, music, and a comfortable ride—perfect for families, couples, or friends who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. Some of my favorite places to share are: Nagasaki: Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and the city’s cultural blend Fukuoka: Dazaifu Shrine, city highlights, and Yanagawa’s river cruise with eel dishes Kumamoto: Mt. Aso’s volcanic views, Kumamoto Castle, and Kurokawa Onsen Oita: Hita’s riverside town, plus Beppu and Yufuin hot springs Saga: Arita’s ceramics and the Yoshinogari ancient site Takachiho Gorge: A mystical canyon tied to Japanese legends What I enjoy most is helping guests discover both famous sights and hidden corners of Kyushu, while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free. Whether you’re drawn to culture, food, history, or beautiful scenery, I can adjust the plan to match your style. I’d love to share my part of Japan with you and create memories that last long after your trip. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to welcoming you to Kyushu and showing you what makes this region so special!
