Hello! I am Masumi, thanks for checking out my profile!
I have spent the past 11 years in Tokyo, but prior to Tokyo, I spent 10 years in Dubai. I have also lived in the UK for a couple of years and studied in the US for a year.
I worked as a cabin crew during my years in Dubai. The international and multi cultural environment made me who I am today, an international person. I was fascinated and intrigued by the counties I visited and its people.
As my job took me to countless countries, enabling me to see the world, I found that a tour guide could determine one’s impression of the country, making the trip more memorable. I cherish the great tours I went on to this day!
Also, having lived abroad for 10 years, I was surprised at the level of interest there is in Japan and how many had the desire to visit one day.
After returning to Japan, I soon got a taste of how difficult it could be to get around, even for a Japanese person! Visiting Japan I imagine can be daunting, not just the language barrier, but the ability to get from one place to another in an efficient way.
This led me to get started as a tour guide, assisting visitors with the best possible experience in Japan.
Tokyo is an attractive city where traditional and modern Japan coexist.

A One-Day Tokyo Tour
If you are first time in Tokyo, this tour will suit you. In one day, we will visit main sightseeing spots in Tokyo. The model plan will include Imperial Palace (Former Edo Castle), Sensoji Temple (Oldest temple in Tokyo), Tsukiji Outer Fish Market and Tokyo Skytree Tower. The model Plan can be customized based on customer's requests.
Asakusa Half-Day Tour
Let's explore town Asakusa, a distric that will take you back in time and remind you of Tokyo's roots! We will visit Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Asakusa Shrine and Kappabashi Kitchen Utensils Street. In this half day tour, you will get to experience a different side of Tokyo, the stroll down Asakusa is rich in history, with vendors lining the streets selling traditional souvenirs and serving food and snacks.

“Excellent Tour with Masumi”
Did a half day tour of Shibuya from the Shinjuku area along with a lunch stop at a sushi place near Shibuya crossing. Masumi is very friendly and her English is excellent. Would book again with Masumi in a heartbeat.

“The Sweetest Guide in Tokyo”
Masumi is hands down the sweetest guide in Tokyo! When our four kids decided they were going to Japan for the first time without a guide, my husband and I were nervous, since Tokyo is not a city for the faint of heart to self-navigate ;) We "gifted" them a guide whom they all admitted was the best memory they have of Japan: Masumi- the jewel of Tokyo! From the pre-planning emails to their tear-filled farewell, Masumi was such a joy and blessing! Her English is fantastic, her knowledge is through the roof, and her bubbly, warm, caring, fun personality is contagious! She Facetimed my husband and me in Hawaii from the top of SkyTree tower to "meet and greet" us, and let us see the panoramic view of Tokyo from the top of the tower!!! What tour guide does that?!?! She texted me many pictures of our kids having a blast at the places she took them...again, so thoughtful and beyond the call of duty! We all feel that we have made a lifetime friend in Masumi, as she became way more than a tour guide, blessing our hearts with her endlessly thoughtful words and actions. So if you want to give yourself- or any family members you really love-- a sweet gift in Japan, then book Masumi as your tour guide! I promise you that you will not regret a single minute or yen you spend with her!! She is truly the best-kept secret in Tokyo! Thank you, Masumi, from the bottom of our hearts for everything!
