Hello! I am Masumi, thanks for checking out my profile!
I have spent the past 11 years in Tokyo, but prior to Tokyo, I spent 10 years in Dubai. I have also lived in the UK for a couple of years and studied in the US for a year.
I worked as a cabin crew during my years in Dubai. The international and multi cultural environment made me who I am today, an international person. I was fascinated and intrigued by the counties I visited and its people.
As my job took me to countless countries, enabling me to see the world, I found that a tour guide could determine one’s impression of the country, making the trip more memorable. I cherish the great tours I went on to this day!
Also, having lived abroad for 10 years, I was surprised at the level of interest there is in Japan and how many had the desire to visit one day.
After returning to Japan, I soon got a taste of how difficult it could be to get around, even for a Japanese person! Visiting Japan I imagine can be daunting, not just the language barrier, but the ability to get from one place to another in an efficient way.
This led me to get started as a tour guide, assisting visitors with the best possible experience in Japan.
Tokyo is an attractive city where traditional and modern Japan coexist.
You can either arrange your own itinerary, or let me help you discover Japan according to your preference. Leave it to me, we can deep dive into anything from must see landmarks to delicious cuisines to discovering how the locals live. Let me help you make your experience in Japan memorable!
Look forward to seeing you soon!

“Special Day - Tokyo Disney VIP Tour”
Masumi was our guide and interpreter for our Tokyo Disney VIP Tour and she was perfect in every way. This was the second time we had Masumi guide us for a day in Tokyo (once with her planned agenda and this time with ours). Masumi is what is so special and unique about Japan, as she is truly a gift to our world. Masumi is full of joy, enthusiasm, and kindness, and she shares her love of life in such an infectious way that you can’t help but be happy when you are with her. I would strongly encourage you to hire Masumi for your special day in Tokyo, as she is perfect for any occasion or tour (whether guided or just an unplanned day). We now consider Masumi a personal friend of our family, so we highly recommend her to brighten up your travels.

“Perfect Day and Excellent Guide”
We had a perfect day in Tokyo with Masumi, as she is so sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. Masumi planned our day to perfection and she was able to flex when our kids changed things up during the day. We enjoyed Masumi so much that we have scheduled to spend another day with her. We would highly recommend Masumi for your perfect day in Tokyo.

“A Heartfelt Thank You to Masumi – The Soul of Our Tokyo Experience”
Our two-day tour with Masumi (May 16 & 17) was more than just sightseeing — it was the heart of our Tokyo journey. From the moment we met her, Masumi brought an incredible warmth and joyful spirit that instantly made us feel at ease. She greeted us with a beaming smile and a laugh that never seemed to run out. In a city as massive and fast-paced as Tokyo, having someone so genuinely kind and upbeat guiding us made all the difference. Over the course of 8 hours, Masumi took us to many of Tokyo’s must-see spots — from serene shrines and historic temples to vibrant urban areas — always tailoring the experience to suit our pace and interests. She shared stories and insights with such passion, and yet never overwhelmed us. It was like exploring the city with an old friend who just happened to know everything. Her English was excellent, her planning was flawless, and she was always so responsive and thoughtful even before we arrived. But what truly stayed with us was how she empowered us. Thanks to her guidance, we learned how to confidently navigate Tokyo’s complex subway and train system — something that would’ve seemed daunting on our own. That small but important gift gave us the freedom to explore independently for the rest of our trip, and we owe that to her patience and clarity. There may not have been one single “wow” moment, but Masumi herself was the wow. Her laughter, her care, her knowledge — it all came together to create a feeling we’ll carry with us forever. If you want to feel connected to Tokyo, to move through it not just as a tourist but as someone who understands its rhythm and beauty — take a tour with Masumi. She didn’t just show us the city. She helped us feel at home in it. Thank you, Masumi. You made Tokyo unforgettable.
