Asakusa Half-Day Tour
Let's explore town Asakusa, a distric that will take you back in time and remind you of Tokyo's roots! We will visit Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Asakusa Shrine and Kappabashi Kitchen Utensils Street. In this half day tour, you will get to experience a different side of Tokyo, the stroll down Asakusa is rich in history, with vendors lining the streets selling traditional souvenirs and serving food and snacks.

Sensoji temple
Sensoji temple is both the oldest and most important temple in Tokyo. It is also the most visited spiritual site in the world with 30 million annual visitors.
Asakusa Shrine
Asakusa Shrine, next to Sensoji Temple, is famous with the festival called "Sanja Matsuri" is held every May.
Nakamise Street and other shopping streets
Nakamise Street is the most famous shopping street in Asakusa. The street runs for 250 meters, lined on both sides with shops selling traditional souvenirs, snacks, and sweets.

Kappabashi street has all your cooking needs, from Japanese knives and crockery to plastic food models and more!
End of the tour
We end the tour in Kappabashi street or the other place. Or I can take you back to your hotel if you like.

Tour Important Information
-Many shops in Kappabashi are closed on Sundays.
-There is an option of going to Tokyo Skytree for a bird's eye view of Tokyo, instead of shopping at Kappabashi Street.
-Entrance fee of Tokyo Skytree Tower lower observation deck, per adult 2100 yen for weekday, 2300 yen for weekend. If you want to go up to Skytree without a guide, you don't have to pay the entrance fee for the guide. The guide will wait for you at the exit of Tokyo Skytree.
-Please prepare Japanese yen, since most of the local shops in Asakusa area does not accept credit card.

“THE BEST … AMAZING !!”
We knew right from the moment we met Masumi that our first full day in Tokyo would be nothing short of amazing! She had a very warm, inviting and bubbly personality which we absolutely loved! We were a large group and we were with her for a full 8 hours and she ended the tour with the same level energy as when she started. She took us to many amazing sights around Tokyo and even kept in touch and offered to help us throughout our 12 day stay around different areas of Japan. We had two other guides in different areas after Masumi and our entire group wish we could have taken Masumi instead she was that amazing! It was like we became immediate friends and she absolutely looked out for every single one of us making sure we were all okay throughout the day. Please book her she is by far the best tour guide in Tokyo!

“Fantastic Tour”
Masumi did a great job of getting our large group of 9 adults and 4 children through the public transportation system to see many beautiful sites. She constantly adjusted our agenda to allow us to see so many places. By the end of our tour we felt like family and the children loved her

“Customized Tokyo tour”
Masumi is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who is incredibly warm and friendly! She planned a perfect day for us per all our requests and was attentive to our needs. She was personable and we enjoyed lots of conversation and laughs with her. My daughters and I were very sad to say goodbye to her at the end of our tour.
