Let's explore town Asakusa, a distric that will take you back in time and remind you of Tokyo's roots! We will visit Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Asakusa Shrine and Kappabashi Kitchen Utensils Street. In this half day tour, you will get to experience a different side of Tokyo, the stroll down Asakusa is rich in history, with vendors lining the streets selling traditional souvenirs and serving food and snacks.

Sensoji temple
Sensoji temple is both the oldest and most important temple in Tokyo. It is also the most visited spiritual site in the world with 30 million annual visitors.
Asakusa Shrine
Asakusa Shrine, next to Sensoji Temple, is famous with the festival called "Sanja Matsuri" is held every May.
Nakamise Street and other shopping streets
Nakamise Street is the most famous shopping street in Asakusa. The street runs for 250 meters, lined on both sides with shops selling traditional souvenirs, snacks, and sweets.

Kappabashi street has all your cooking needs, from Japanese knives and crockery to plastic food models and more!
End of the tour
We end the tour in Kappabashi street or the other place. Or I can take you back to your hotel if you like.

Tour Important Information
-Many shops in Kappabashi are closed on Sundays.
-There is an option of going to Tokyo Skytree for a bird's eye view of Tokyo, instead of shopping at Kappabashi Street.
-Entrance fee of Tokyo Skytree Tower lower observation deck, per adult 2100 yen for weekday, 2300 yen for weekend. If you want to go up to Skytree without a guide, you don't have to pay the entrance fee for the guide. The guide will wait for you at the exit of Tokyo Skytree.
-Please prepare Japanese yen, since most of the local shops in Asakusa area does not accept credit card.

Hello! I am Masumi, thanks for checking out my profile!
I have spent the past 11 years in Tokyo, but prior to Tokyo, I spent 10 years in Dubai. I have also lived in the UK for a couple of years and studied in the US for a year.
I worked as a cabin crew during my years in Dubai. The international and multi cultural environment made me who I am today, an international person. I was fascinated and intrigued by the counties I visited and its people.
As my job took me to countless countries, enabling me to see the world, I found that a tour guide could determine one’s impression of the country, making the trip more memorable. I cherish the great tours I went on to this day!
Also, having lived abroad for 10 years, I was surprised at the level of interest there is in Japan and how many had the desire to visit one day.
After returning to Japan, I soon got a taste of how difficult it could be to get around, even for a Japanese person! Visiting Japan I imagine can be daunting, not just the language barrier, but the ability to get from one place to another in an efficient way.
This led me to get started as a tour guide, assisting visitors with the best possible experience in Japan.
Tokyo is an attractive city where traditional and modern Japan coexist.

“Visit to Mount Fuji ”
Masumi is well organised and highly professional tour guide. I had an excellent time with her during day tour journey. She took me from my hotel 7:20 am to Shinjuku station, she already booked my express train tickets to Osuki, from their we went to Kawaguchi lake to ride the boat to see Mt Fuji and its surrounding sights. Thereafter we went on cable car to the top of the mountain to have a veiw of Mt Fuji and Kawaguchi lake. Wonderful veiws I had on my camera that I will remember. I am vegetarian and she organised a special meal for me at the restaurant and I am highly thankful to her for that. In the afternoon we went Shimoshida to view Mt Fuji along with temple. I had beautiful pictures. She took my pictures as well. She told me old stories linked with Mt. Fuji. Overall excellent experience by me and I commend her to others for her services.
