Hello. I am Keiko, a nationally licensed tour guide for English-speaking tourists. I love traveling to new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. When I was young, I embarked on a long journey to explore more about my life. I settled in a small town in Illinois, USA, enjoying a new life while studying at the state university, and then moved to Florida to work for a while.
After coming back to Japan, I have been working in downtown Tokyo since 2008, mainly as a translator and sometimes as an interpreter in various fields, including central government offices, TV stations, and a university. Seeing the increased opportunities around the Tokyo Olympics 2020, I transitioned into the tourism industry and am currently working as a tour guide, basically giving day tours of downtown Tokyo, Fuji & Hakone, Kamakura and Nikko.
I love meeting people from different backgrounds, talking with them, and learning new things. That's why I enjoy hosting guests from abroad who want to explore Japan. Many local people helped me during my journey, and now it's time for me to give back. Come and meet me here; I will show you around amazing places in Japan.
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

“First class tour of Tokyo”
We thoroughly enjoyed a full day’s tour with Keiko seeing many of the important sites in Tokyo. Keiko speaks excellent English and was very clear in her description and explanation of the various locations we visited. We highly recommend Keiko as a guide to anyone who is wanting a good introduction to the city of Tokyo and its prestigious historical attractions.

Fiona and Mark, I also enjoyed showing you around downtown Tokyo. Your enthusiasm for learning about and exploring Japan made it very rewarding for me. I hope you continue to have wonderful experiences at the places you visit and that your entire tour in Japan will be unforgettable.

“A portrait of professionalism ”
Keiko was professional, insightful, and flexible. She made our vacation stress free and exceeded our expectations! We toured with her for 3 days and she was proactive in meeting our desires & solving issues! I wanted a pair of prescription eyeglasses and she took us to the store that I suggested and it was jam packed. I was so disappointed & tired after a full day of touring. Without me knowing she researched and found another eyeglass shop that caters to locals. I was able to get a beautiful pair of glasses, for half the price I pay in the US, and they delivered them to our hotel. This is only one example of how she came through for us over the three days that we toured with Keiko! She made us both feel welcome & comfortable as we began our journey in Tokyo! She was a lot of fun & I wish we had more time with her! We are both very pleased that she helped us find the souvenirs and presents that we were looking for! Thank you Keiko for making our visit so special!!

Yvette, thank you so much for your kind and warm review. I am truly grateful to both of you—an ideal couple I admire and aspire to follow. I also had a wonderful time with you, which has stayed and will always stay deeply in my heart as an unforgettable memory. If I ever have the chance to visit the Grand Canyon, I will be sure to let you know. When that time comes, let’s celebrate our reunion! Thank you again for your warm and genuine friendship. Keiko

“Great guide for Tokyo”
We really enjoyed our day with Keiko. We got to see a lot of Tokyo and we never felt we were just doing " the tourist thing ". She met us right at our hotel and we went from there. Keiko is super smart, has a great knowledge of Tokyo and was paitent with two people who had never been to Japan before

Michael, thank you so much for the enjoyable time we spent together. It was truly a pleasure to guide someone as kind, respectful, and eager to learn about Japan and Japanese culture as you. If you have another opportunity to explore more of Japan, I would be delighted to guide you again!
