Meeting Point
At Shinjuku Station or at your hotel (Tokyo)
- If you know how to get to Shinjuku Station, we will meet there. If you’re unsure how to reach Shinjuku Station, I will pick you up at your hotel. In that case, our meeting time may be earlier than 7:00 am.
Shinjuku Station
We will take the Fuji Kaiyu No.3 to head toward Shimoyoshida. Fuji Kaiyu is the fastest transportation to get to the region, arriving at 9:11.
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
This is one of the most famous photogenic spots. A photo featuring the red 5-story pagoda, pale pink cherry blossoms, and beautiful Mt. Fuji covered in snow has been widely shared around the world, attracting more visitors to Japan. We need to climb up the mountain along a steep slope, so if you have difficulties walking, this may not be the best choice for you. The round trip from Shimoyoshida Station at the foot of the mountain takes about 40 minutes for relatively fast walkers.
Fujiyoshida Honcho Street
This is also a very famous photogenic spot on social media, so you may have seen photos taken here. It is located nearby, so we will take a walk to see the real view in person.
Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai, comprised of eight ponds, is famous for its spring water from Mt. Fuji. You will be amazed at how clean and clear the water in the ponds is. It is also well-known for offering beautiful views of Mt. Fuji through a traditional village landscape.
Historically, these ponds of natural spring water were associated with a religious group called 'Fujiko' and were registered as components of the World Cultural Heritage Site designation for Mt. Fuji.
Lake Kawaguchi: Activity 1
■Sightseeing Boat Appare
Lake Kawaguchi is one of the Fuji Five Lakes, offering splendid views of Mt. Fuji. While enjoying a 20-minute cruising on the lake, we can see the nearly perfect conical shape of Mt. Fuji from the north side.

After the cruise, you can choose one activity from the following options:

Hello. I am Keiko, a nationally licensed tour guide for English-speaking tourists. I love traveling to new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. When I was young, I embarked on a long journey to explore more about my life. I settled in a small town in Illinois, USA, enjoying a new life while studying at the state university, and then moved to Florida to work for a while.
After coming back to Japan, I have been working in downtown Tokyo since 2008, mainly as a translator and sometimes as an interpreter in various fields, including central government offices, TV stations, and a university. Seeing the increased opportunities around the Tokyo Olympics 2020, I transitioned into the tourism industry and am currently working as a tour guide, basically giving day tours of downtown Tokyo, Fuji & Hakone, Kamakura and Nikko.
I love meeting people from different backgrounds, talking with them, and learning new things. That's why I enjoy hosting guests from abroad who want to explore Japan. Many local people helped me during my journey, and now it's time for me to give back. Come and meet me here; I will show you around amazing places in Japan.

“Tokyo overview”
Keiko was an excellent guide on our first full day in Tokyo. Very knowledgeable with excellent English. Very flexible and helped us learn to navigate the train system. She helped us with knife purchase as she could translate directly with shop owners

“Keiko T...you are the best”
Our guide Keiko went above and beyond..This is our first trip to Japan and she made things easy and informative our first 2 days in Tokyo. Thank you so much helping us learn how to navigate the metro system. She even went over in detail how to do it tomorrow without her guidance. If we ever come back we will call on her again.
Keiko T.
Sherri, thank you so much for your kind review. I truly enjoyed showing you around. It must have been quite an intensive tour, trying to see and experience as much as possible. Now that the busy part is over, I hope you both can relax and enjoy the rest of your time in Tokyo together at your own pace. I also wish you a wonderful journey with the other tour members as you continue exploring beyond Japan.
