Ueno Park, Ameyoko shopping street and Ramen lunch. Walk at a leisurely pace.

Tokyo
2 hours

On this tour we will stroll in Ueno Park, a large public park next to Ueno station. The park is filled with museums, temples, shrines and a zoo. In spring, people enjoy parties under the cherry blossoms. We will visit Toshogu Shrine, Kiyomizu Kannon Temple, Shinobazu pond and Bentendo temple. The tour will be operated at a slow pace rather than usual tours so that you can take photos at your favorite scenery and take time to enjoy your tour. After walking in the park, we will head to Ameyoko shopping street where you can enjoy shopping or you can satisfy yourself with window shopping. For your lunch, we’d like to recommend a Chinese restaurant in Ameyoko where you can eat tasty ramen at a reasonable price of around 800yen. The restaurant is popular among Japanese workers as a lunch eatery, so you can also experience the real environment of Japanese workers. Brief itinerary: 10:00am Meet at Ueno station or your hotel at 9:30am (optional) 10:00-11:10 Stroll in Ueno Park (70min) 11:10-11:50 Ameyoko shopping street (40min) 12:00 Lunch at a Chinese restaurant The tour will end around noon at a Chinese restaurant. The guide will help you to order your ramen at the restaurant and also the guide will give you the directions for the nearest station going to your next destination.

(/^?^)/ Excellent guide, fun trip!

We had a great time going around Shinjuku Park & Akiba in Tokyo and going to the Iwako eraser factory in Saitama with Chieko. My sister had been wanting to visit the factory since she was young - we couldn't have had such a wonderful & amazing experience without Chieko's help. Chieko an excellent guide - she is very friendly & reliable and is also very knowledgeable about Tokyo and its surrounding prefectures. I highly recommend Chieko and we will definitely go on another tour with her when we return to Tokyo in the future. Arigato gozaimashita, Chieko! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Rex Y.

Dear Rex, thank you for your kind review. I am so glad that you and your family enjoyed yourselves on my tour. I could tell that your sister was really enjoying the visit to the factory – I am glad that she had the chance to fulfil her ambition to go there. I enjoyed walking with your lovely family; please give them my best regards. I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for being such delightful guests. Chieko

Hoilday in Tokyo

My experience with Chieko was awesome! She is a very experience guide. She did her homework well before meeting up with me so that to make sure I have a smooth tour. She speaks well and is very bubbly and friendly. My stay in Tokyo was a short one, hence, I didn't have enough time to visit all the places I wish to but I definitely plan to go back to Tokyo again and I will make a reservation with Chieko on my future tour in Tokyo. Thanks Chieko!

Cassendra W.

Dear Cassendra, Thank you very much for choosing me as your guide and I am very thankful for your good review! I enjoyed walking with such a friendly and lovely lady like you. I’d like to take you to the best sushi restaurant in Ginza next time. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon. Thank you. Chieko

Excellent and very responsible

Chieko designed a special tour for my 13-year-old son so that he could visit sites that specialized in Pokemon, video games, etc. She even did a test run before our visit because it was something new for her. Our son had a wonderful time and learned a lot about Japanese culture thanks to Chieko. She was wonderful!

Andrew H.

Dear Andrew, thank you for such a wonderful review. I'm very glad to hear that your son enjoyed my tour. It was the first time I've taken a 13-year-old boy on a tour without his family. Before the tour, you kindly advised me of his interests in Pokémon, anime and video games. So I prepared and planned the tour to accommodate his interests. Also, a few days before the tour, I started playing Pokémon Go so I could understand the game and participate. Thanks to your son, I've found a new genre to add to my tour list. Please tell him that I enjoyed meeting such a smart, pleasant boy. Thank you again. Chieko
