About

My name is YUKIKO. I'm a Licensed Tour Guide and a Registered Nurse. I've worked as a guide since 2015. I've been doing virtual experience on Amazon and for company's events since 2020. It's definitely a great step for myself and keeping my guiding skills for the last couple of years.

I live in Tokyo. Thanks to increasing the number of repeat, referred and new clients, tour guide is my main job.

I am a mother of 10 years old girl so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children as well.

I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide.

I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter.  I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. There are some common thinking between Tour guide and Nurse, both jobs are required to put myself into their shoes. I'll make plans considering their physical conditions and will arrange any supports after discussing about the tour.  I've already experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. Mobility challenged customers (cane/wheelchair) are always welcomed.

I'd love to make your trip meaningful and unforgettable. Please feel free to contact with me anytime.

I'm looking forward to meeting you in my tour! Arigatou!

Customizable, Flexible, Kind, Great with Families

Yukiko made our Japan trip memorable. We’ve been to Tokyo 5 times but never with a guide. Yukiko kept in touch with us a week before our trip to give us various options due to changing weather conditions on the days we would be with her, such as switching itineraries to avoid going hiking in the rain. On our first day meeting with her, she gave us a customized booklet of what to expect during the trip. She showed us where the locals go , provided history to the places we went to, and spoke English very well. She is also great with kids as our elementary school aged daughter was not bored at all and the two of them spent quite a bit of time chatting with each other on the train and during our walks. Yukiko can create a fully customizable guide package for you.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Jason! It was a memorable, fun and a special tour for me as well. I'm very glad that you chose "Japan" as your first visiting country after the years. Warm words that you gave me made me so happy and appreciated. Please share what you saw, what you've done and what you experienced in Japan to your family and friends in Hawaii. Thank you once again, Maharo and Domo Arigatou!!

Look no further for the perfect Tokyo tour guide

I booked a two-person virtual live tour experience of Asakusa with Yukiko for my friend's birthday and she was the most informative, accommodating tour guide I've ever had. Yukiko not only helped us plan a 90 minute virtual tour with almost all the places on our interest list (which was a LOT), but fully embraced each suggestion by showing us countless photos and providing history and fun facts about each location. She did a wonderful job at getting my friend and I involved in her tour by asking us questions and answering ours- even though it was virtual, it really felt like we were there and interacting with the surroundings like we would be in person. After our tour, Yukiko provided us a list of the restaurants and shops we visited during the tour so that we'll be able to go there once we visit Tokyo in person. Yukiko gave us a true travel experience over Zoom and if you're looking for the perfect Tokyo tour guide, look no further! She will make sure your trip is perfect.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Ali!! I am so happy to hear that both of you had an enjoyable time and we could covered all the places on your interest list. Luckily, we had a very beautiful weather and we encountered some auspicious events at shrine. Like you said, real-time viewing brings that really feel like you were in Asakusa. I hope the list of useful information and photos will useful for your future trip. Thank you once again for taking my tour for your friend's birthday! Domo Arigatou!!

When your team can't travel, bring travel to your team

Yuki created a one hour, live, virtual walking tour. This was not our team's first attempt at this with other companies, but this was by far the best. Yuki's communication started this adventure off on the right foot. Not only was she communicative, but she also was flexible when I booked the wrong date by accident. She was clear with what she needed from me for this to be successful (a zoom link) and she took care of the rest. Her AV was so clear and how she interacted with us was so interactive, fun, and informative. She used cue cards with photos, offered trivia, answered our live questions in chat and over the call. Our team was enamored with her and her style. She was fun and clearly new her stuff, but it didn't feel scripted or rehearsed. She was a gem and we have already referred her to other members of our organization. Absolutely would book her again and when we are able to actually travel to Tokyo, I'll be seeing if she would be willing to be our personal tour guide. Thank you for everything, Yuki!

Wow!! Thank you so much for your excellent review, Jill! I can't find a better word to express my gratitude. I also enjoyed to communicate with your team members during the session and glad to show you around in Asakusa as much as possible. My another virtual experience will visit Akihabara and put emphasis on more modern culture, this time such as Japanese animation. If you have a chance to join, I would be happy to guide. Of course, I always welcome all of you when you're able to travel to Tokyo in the future! Domo Arigatou!!
