Hello, I'm Yuichi, an English tour guide in Hokuriku region.
If you are thinking about traveling to historical places
such as Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go and Takayama, I am willing to offer a tour.

from my base, Toyama city.

During the tour I like to provide simple explanations about Japanese history,
and small tips for using the Japanese language on your request.
My interests are food, cooking, sake and wine
as well as Japanese novels and movies.
It would be possible to add those tastes to our tour
including a visit to local wineries, movie scenes, etc...
Finally, I will do my best to give you a pleasant stay.

Tailored Tour to Takayama / Shirakawago & Gokayama
This guided tour will bring guests to one/some of traditional destinations in Hokuriku and Hida region which cover the traditional streets, old government office building in Takayama and UNESCO's gassho-zukuri (A-shaped) houses in Shirakawago/Gokayama. The whole tour can be flexibly arranged based on guests' preferences and requests on either one way and round trip between Kanazawa and Takayama.
Kanazawa -Loop Bus Tour
This tour is the best for first-time travelers to Kanazawa.A one day pass (JPY 500) for city loop bus can cover MUST-SEE sites in the city.We start from and end at JR Kanazawa station, basically visiting 4 places such as Omicho Market, Nagamachi Samurai District, Kenroku-en Garden and Higashichaya-gai (Tea House Street ).
Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route ticket with a guide
The English-speaking guide will arrange your ticket and will bring you to Murodo Plateau area and Kurobe Dam. While you are traveling with Alpine Route Vehicles, you can enjoy the various overwhelming landscapes through the whole route, including Bijodaira cedar trees, Shomyo Fall, Mt. Tsurugi and Kurobe Lake.
1 Day Round trip to Kurobe Gorge
Enjoy the journey with torokko (electrical train) to Keyakidaira. You can see many nature wonders including huge red bridges and one of the cleanest river in Japan, which are sandwitched by the deepest V-shaped gorge in Japan.
Takayama 4 Hour Town Walk Tour
Let's walk one of the most popular traditional town in Central Japan. Your guide will pick you up at the reception of your hotel and walk with you throughout the old town of Takayama city. There are many traditional Japanese architectures and cultural museums in Takayama. You can also enjoy talking with local store clerks via your guide's translation. And you can optionally drop by some sake breweries, food stalls and have lunch in highly recommended Hida beef restaurant
Canal Cruise from Kansui Park to Historic District in TOYAMA
Just 1 hour cruise will bring you from the modern looking park to the historic site of Iwase town, as well as the National Important Cultural Property, Nakajima lock, which is the highlight of the cruise and lets you feel the dynamism of the moving water elevator. At lunch, you can enjoy the local specialties such as sashimi, udon (wheat noodles) or tempura.
