“Great time in the Takaoka area”

Sho was great to work with in putting together a day of sightseeing and experiences based on things we were interested in. He was there waiting for us when we walked off the ship. The tour was beyond expectations. When the tin class we were interested in was sold out he arranged for us to take a sake cup making class with a master artisan. To work directly with the Master artisan and his wife was one of our highlights of our 3 week trip. The gorge trip was beautiful. Lucky for us the timing was perfect as the boat was not full. This allowed us to move from side to side easily. Unexpectedly Sho wanted to quickly show us another area which was Inami Nanto-city, Yokomachi street which led to the Zui senji Temple. Due to the short time we were unable to go into the Zui senji temple. The temple has been added to my "To Do" list for my next visit to Japan. Carvings were amazing and I would like the time to try and find some of the cats on Yokomachi street. He made sure that we were back on the Ship ahead of the time posted by the ship. Definitely recommend for providing guide services in Takaoka and surrounding areas.

“The best tour on my trip”

Outstanding Experience with Mr. Naoto Mr. Naoto is truly an outstanding guide. My tour in Toyama was, without question, the highlight of my entire trip to Japan. His deep local knowledge allowed me to discover places that I would never have found on my own. Every location he took me to was unique, authentic, and absolutely worth visiting. One of the most memorable moments was having lunch at a local farm, where I was able to experience the true flavors of rural Japan and gain a deeper appreciation for Japanese culture and traditions. Beyond his exceptional knowledge, Mr. Naoto is a very safe and considerate driver. Throughout the trip, he made me feel comfortable and welcomed, almost like part of the family. If you are planning to visit Toyama or Takayama, I cannot recommend Mr. Naoto highly enough. Without his guidance, you would miss many of the hidden gems and authentic experiences that make these regions so special. “Private tour of Toyama by a wonderful host”

Fumi picked us up from our cruise line at the port and had a planned itinerary for us so that we could see some of the highlights of Toyama. She took and accommodated our ideas into that itinerary which included the Glass Museum and lunch at a local restaurant and then a visit to a merchants house. All in all we had a wonderful experience Fumi was generous with her time and explanation and planning and communication. Picking us up in her car and taking us around was very comfortable and informative, We loved! The museum of glass, the building was spectacular and then our lunch spot was delicious - galls prawns yum! The visit to the merchant house was informative and enjoyable and to wander the neighbourhood and then come across a wonderful second hand shop with some vintage curios was fantastic. Fumi took us everywhere and we thoroughly enjoyed her company and her English and insight to local information was very well received. We would highly recommend her as a tour guide to curate a great sightseeing trip for the city of Toyama and surrounding areas, we really enjoyed her company.
