Arrival at Uji Station

We will go from the Uji Station for a stroll around so it will be possible to take their time looking at some important stores and to get a first sense of Uji City.

Tea Shop - Tsuen

We will have a drink at Japan's oldest Tea Shop and spend a little time there. While we are there, I will tell you the most important things about the Way of Tea and Teaism.

The Phoenix Temple - Byōdō-in

We will visit the most famous Buddhist temple in Japan and take some time to relax and explore the temple at our own pace. I will show you round and tell you about the main highlights.

Uji-Temple

A very precious shrine that houses many cultural treasures. It is not far to the Ujikami Shrine. At this shrine, we can find spiritual peace

Ujikami-Temple

Here we will see the oldest surviving original Shinto temple, tucked away in a forest. We will get a real sense of what the atmosphere was like over 1,000 years ago.

Koshoji Temple

A beautiful Zen temple complex with few tourists—the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning mountain views.
