05:30 PM

Meeting Point

The Spice Bazaar (Main Gate -Eminönü entrance)

- We meet at the historic 17th-century Spice Bazaar just as the evening rush begins. Enjoy a complimentary welcome tasting of artisanal Turkish delights and herbal teas amidst the enchanting aromas of the Silk Road.

06:30 PM

The Bosphorus Crossing (Golden Hour Ferry)

We board the local ferry for a scenic 30-minute journey to the Asian side. This is the "Golden Hour"—the perfect time to capture the sun setting behind the Blue Mosque and Topkapı Palace with a glass of Turkish tea in hand.

07:00 PM

Kadıköy Pier: The Street Food Icons

Upon landing in Asia, we dive straight into the local favorites. We’ll taste the legendary "original" steamed burgers and wood-fired, crispy flatbreads (Lahmacun) at hidden spots known only to locals.

07:30 PM

The Meat Master & Heritage Dishes

Experience a true masterclass in Turkish grilling. We’ll sample world-renowned meat doner and explore a curated selection of "forgotten" Anatolian heritage recipes that showcase the diversity of our regional kitchens.

08:30 PM

Backstreet Boldness: Midye & Kokoreç

We navigate the vibrant, neon-lit backstreets of the market district. For the adventurous foodies, this is the time to try zesty stuffed mussels and the spicy, flame-grilled delicacies that define Istanbul’s night culture.

09:00 PM

The Sweet Legacy: A Historic Pause

Before our grand finale, we stop at a vintage confectionery or a century-old patisserie. Whether it’s traditional Ottoman candies or a famous creamy dessert, this is the perfect sugar rush to keep the night going.

09:30 PM

The Grand Finale: Traditional Meyhane

We conclude our journey at a lively, authentic "Meyhane" (Turkish Tavern). Here, we’ll share a variety of fresh mezes (appetizers) and raise a toast with local spirits. It’s the ultimate social ritual where food, music, and stories come together.

Ending Point

Traditional Meyhane

Tour Important Information

Important Notes for Your Journey:

• The "Pay-as-you-go" Experience: To give you the ultimate flexibility, food and drinks are not included in the tour price (except for our complimentary welcome treats at the Spice Bazaar). This allows you to choose exactly what you want to taste and manage your own budget at each legendary stop.

• Small Change, Big Flavor: We will visit many authentic, local "hole-in-the-wall" spots. While many take cards, having some Turkish Lira (cash) in small denominations is highly recommended for quick street food transactions.

• The "No Lunch" Rule: Even though you are paying per bite, this is a culinary marathon! We strongly recommend skipping lunch so you can enjoy the 10+ legendary stops we’ve curated for you.

• The Golden Hour Crossing: Our ferry ride is a highlight. Ensure your camera is charged for the Bosphorus sunset.

• Walking & Cobblestones: Kadıköy has uneven historic streets. Comfortable walking shoes (sneakers) are mandatory. Please leave formal shoes at your hotel.

• Dietary Awareness: Your guide will explain the ingredients at every stop. Since you are ordering your own portions, it's easy to skip items that don't fit your diet (Vegan, Gluten-free, etc.).

• The Meyhane Finale: Our final stop is a traditional tavern. You can order as many or as few "mezes" (appetizers) as you like. It's the perfect social ending to a vibrant night!

• Weather Policy: The tour runs rain or shine. A light jacket is recommended for the evening ferry breeze.

Important message from the supplier

Reviews

Professional, knowledgeable and pleasant

We are a family of hour and explored the heart of the city with Yagmur today. She was proactive communicating with us ahead of time. The tour itself was excellent. Yagmur’s knowledge, passion and wit shone through in her description of the wonderful sites we toured. She was patient in answering our questions and adjusted the tour to suit our areas of interest. The pace of the tour felt just right and overall we were very satisfied having spent the day with her and coming off much better informed than we’d be had we gone by ourselves. Definitely recommended.
