In 8 hours you will see a big amount of the Tijuca National Park, where we are going to visit the Chinese View, Dona Marta viewpoint, the Taunay waterfall and drive around - and Santa Teresa, where we are going to take the trolley and visit Selaron Stairs and the Ruins Park.

Santa Teresa Trolley
We are going to do the round trip, appreciating the view inside the trolley, and get off in the closest station of the next attraction.
Ruins Park (closed on mondays)
Old house that used to be owned by a Brazilian socialite woman called Laurinda Santos Lobo. From the top of the house, it's possible to see a beautiful view of Rio.

Tour Important Information
Pick-up and drop-off in locations in the south or central zone of Rio (if starting from Barra, start time of the tour will need to be 1h earlier).
My car is a 7-seater SUV and can accommodate 6 passengers (plus me as the driver guide). For tours, I recommend a total of 4 adults and 2 more persons up to 1.70 meters tall in the 2 back seats.
For more than 4 adults over 1.70 meters, I rent a van (at an extra cost), so that the tour is extremely comfortable for everyone.

On Saturday and Sunday and holidays, this tour starts at 8:30am, instead of 7:30am, due to the opening time of Santa Teresa trolley on these days.

Hi and welcome! My name is Alan, I am 44 years old, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, and having lived in Australia, Holland, Israel and Argentina, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists.
I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide.
I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French).
