“Airport pickup and Santiago tour ”
We had an outstanding experience with Manfred as our guide! From the moment he picked us up at the airport, we knew we were in good hands. Manfred was an excellent communicator, kind, relaxed, and incredibly accommodating throughout our time in Santiago. With a wealth of knowledge about both adventure and culture, he was a valuable resource, offering insightful tips that enhanced the rest of our trip—like where to find the best food, how to get a good exchange rate, and so much more. Even though our flight arrived early, Manfred was easy to spot at the airport and made sure we were comfortable from the start. His spacious van comfortably fit all of our luggage, including ski bags, and he kindly dropped us off at our hotel to get settled before the tour began. We then explored Santiago, visiting all the city's top highlights while learning about Chile’s rich cultural history and modern life. Manfred’s unique perspectives and fascinating nuggets of knowledge really brought the city to life. One of the things we appreciated most was how flexible Manfred was with the itinerary. While he offered great suggestions, we were also encouraged to tailor the tour to our interests. A highlight was stumbling upon a folk dance parade in the heart of downtown, where we got to watch stunning traditional costumes and dances, immersing ourselves in the local festivities. And if you're looking for someone to capture the moments, Manfred is happy to take photos for you too! We cannot recommend Manfred highly enough. His passion for his work, his genuine kindness, and his attention to detail made our trip unforgettable. By the end of the tour, we truly felt like we had made a good friend in Santiago. If you're looking for a top-notch guide, you’re in excellent hands with Manfred!

“Knowledgable and a Great guide ”
I had the pleasure of spending the day with Daniel as my local tour guide for Santiago and the Maipo Valley, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, Daniel was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave a fascinating overview of Chile’s wine regions, particularly the Maipo Valley, and brought the history of the area to life with insight and clarity. His passion for both wine and Chilean culture was clear, and he made the experience engaging and memorable. Daniel’s English is fantastic, and he can tailor a tour to your interests while also offering great recommendations. If you’re visiting Santiago and looking for a wine or food tour with someone who really knows their stuff and makes you feel at ease, Daniel is your man. A truly enjoyable and enriching day—thank you, Daniel!

Santiago is one of the most walkable cities in Latin America, given its Eurocentric street design. So pack a pair of comfortable shoes. Whenever you get tired, the metro is a reliable way to zip through the city.
Generally, September to November are considered ideal travel months due to the favorable weather & lower crowds. With that said, each of Santiago’s 4 seasons offers its own perks.
Somewhat. Chile overall has a moderate English proficiency rating, with only 10% of the population speaking English, but Santiago’s rating of 553/800 means you can get by in tourist areas without Spanish. With that said, it’s still advisable to learn some Chilean Spanish phrases before you explore on your own, as English gets less common the further from the city center you get.
During the day, Santiago has a walking safety index of 58.38, which is moderate, meaning you should apply vigilance and keep the expensive items in your hotel and not on you. Nighttime, however, is another story. Anyone looking to tour the city at night NEEDS to be accompanied by a local who knows which streets to avoid and where to go for a safe & fun evening.
