Meeting Point

DongHuaMen 东华门( East Gate of Forbidden City)

- We can meet in the east gate of the Forbidden City---DongHuaMen.

12:00 PM

Forbidden City

You'll step into the Forbidden City — the largest and best-preserved wooden palace complex in the world. We'll walk along the central axis, passing the Hall of Supreme Harmony (太和殿), the Palace of Heavenly Purity (乾清宫), and other halls where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties once ruled. Amid the red walls and golden roofs, you'll touch six centuries of royal history. I'll take you on a route that avoids the crowds, stays in the shade on hot days, and stops at the best photo spots.

04:00 PM

Jingshan Park

After the Forbidden City, we'll exit from the Gate of Divine Might (神武门) and walk across the street to Jingshan Park. A short climb up to the Wanchun Pavilion gives you a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Forbidden City and the full length of the Central Axis. We'll time it for sunset, so you can capture stunning photos.

05:30 PM

Shichahai Area and having dinner in Kaorouji

Shichahai is a historic scenic area in central Beijing, consisting of three connected lakes — Qianhai, Houhai, and Xihai. It is one of the best-preserved traditional neighborhoods in the city, known for its willow-lined waterways, ancient胡同 (hutongs), and imperial gardens. The evening view will be amazing.

On the eastern shore of Qianhai, you'll find Kaorouji, a famous halal restaurant founded in 1848. It is renowned for its traditional "zizi" grilled lamb — thin slices of tender lamb are marinated in a secret sauce and grilled over fruitwood on a special iron grate, creating a smoky, aromatic flavor. In 2008, Kaorouji's grilling technique was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

07:00 PM

We will finish the tour around 7 pm. If you want to enjoy the evening view in Shichahai area, you can stay there with your friends.
