I received a license in 2016 from the Korea Tourism Organization as a qualified professional tour guide. I have guided a variety of tours for people and tourists from all over the world and have been doing so for over 9 years. Before being a tour guide I spent most of my career working in the banking industry for almost 30 years, starting with Korea First Bank which later became a US based Newbridge Capital and UK based Standard Chartered Bank until I retired in 2016. My experience in the banking industry was very much customer-first and dealing with the public which laid the cornerstone and passion to becoming a tour guide. After retiring from the bank, I worked as a lecturer for a volunteering organization run by the local public office and taught students about the environment and disabilities. With various experiences and personal management skills, these challenges have provided a real life, hands on cultural nuances which will promote friendship and expand life experiences between different cultures. “Great tour in Seoul!”

Paul was a great welcome to Seoul! We met him at the palace, he was prompt and very clear with the meeting point. He did an interesting intro before going through the beautiful palace and secret gardens, well timed and then through some other highlights to feel the culture and history of this amazing city (ie. a walk through a traditional village, visit to the folklore museum which was really enlightening and interesting, etc). Paul is a very knowledgeable guide and a super way to learn about the highlights, history and culture of the city, and country! Thank you!

[Expert Historian] DMZ Tour from Seoul: The 3rd Tunnel & Korean War Insights

“ Excellent introduction to Korea, its past, its present and its challenges”

I had the chance of following Andy for 2 days: we went to the museum where he gave me a comprehensive briefing on Korea's past. We then drove to the Royal Palace and to the Bukchon Village. While I was comfortably seated in his car, he spoke about Korea's present and, the next day, when we visited the DMZ, he spoke about the war and the challenges Korea is facing today. He even prepared a brochure with the most relevant facts to look up and to refer to. I had an issue with my cellphone's internet connection and Andy was very helpful in calming me down and in trying to find a solution.
