Meeting Point
From hotel (Kathmandu)
- We start early in the morning after having breakfast.
Day 1: Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu
We start early in the morning after having breakfast. The bus to Pokhara leaves around 7 am from Kathmandu. It takes around 7-8 hours to reach Pokhara. If the weather is clear you can see some glimpses of mountains at the start of the highway.
Day 2: Drive to Nayapool and Trek to Tikhedhunga
Start your day with a short drive to Nayapul. It takes around an hour to reach Nayapul. From there your trek kicks off to Tikhedhunga for today. The first part of the trek starts with a gentle walk through the road. As the trail goes on we will walk through the forest and small settlements of local people. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.
Day 3: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
We kick off our day by crossing the suspension bridge near Tikhedhunga. Then the hike begins climbing over 3000 steps on the staircase on the way to Ulleri. It can be a bit tiring today to climb those staircases. However, crossing Ulleri Village the trail becomes easier as you will walk through forests. Upon reaching Ghorepani if the weather is clear, you will get to see the beautiful views of the mountains. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.
Day 4: Ghorepani to Tadhapani. Morning hike to Poon hill
The exciting day of this trek starts with an early morning hike to Poon Hill. Wake up early in the morning around 5 am and start to hike to Poonhill. It takes around 45 minutes to reach Poohill at 3210 meters. There are small stalls of tea shops where we enjoy sips of tea and coffee with a sunrise view. We will spend an hour taking photographs and spending quality time over there. Then, we will come down to our hotel and have breakfast to trek to Tadapani. The starting of a trek to Tadhapani is uphill climbing then we will descend for 45 minutes. Then again, climbing a steep trail through the forests takes us to Tadhapani. Overnight stay at Tadhapani.
Day 5: Tadhapani to Ghandruk
Today we will trek all the way down to Ghandruk. The trek is short and easy. Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung Settlement. The highlight package of Ghandruk village is the Gurung Museum. You can visit the museum and discover the ancient Gurung culture. Overnight stay at Ghandruk Village.
Day 6: Drive back Pokhara in Private Jeep
Have your final breakfast of the trip and we will drive back to Pokhara today early morning. You will drive through a private Jeep from Ghandrul to Pokhara. It takes around 1-2 hours to reach Pokhara. Rest of the day you can relax and explore around the city of Pokhara.
