Experience the best of Sintra with a guided tour of Sintra Town Palace or Quinta da Regaleira.
Visit the city centre of Sintra, classified as a World Heritage Site. Possibility of visiting the Sintra town Palace (entrance fee not included - it can be decided on site) or the Quinta da Regaleira (entrance fee of included - necessary to book in advance and choose a time-slot).
After the 3-hour tour of Sintra you can decide to stay longer, visit the other palaces on your own.

Meeting Point
Sintra Train Station
- We will meet in front of the main building of the Train Station. I will have a board with "Go with Guide" written.
Sintra
Walk from the train the Train Station, passing the City Hall, to the city center.
Sintra Town Palace
The Town Palace dates back to the 14th Century and was once the oficial summer residence of the Portuguese Royal Family.
Possibility of visiting the Palace with its rooms decorated with glazed tiles.
Walk to Seteais
Much of the charm of Sintra is the greenery and the landscape of the surrounding area. We will walk out of Sintra to Quinta de Seteais, seeing some of the private houses, the oldest hotel in the Iberian Peninsula and the neoclassical facade of Seteais, today a 5 star hotel.
Quinta Regaleira
Seen from the outside, this 19th century property was built by a rich merchant in neo-manueline style. The gardens hold statues and symbols of secret societies reflecting the cultural and philosophical interests of the time.
Possibility of visiting the gardens and palace - please note we need to book in advance and choose a time-slot.
Return to Sintra centre
We end our tour in the city centre. You can decide to visit other points of interest in Sintra or have a meal (not included) in one of the many restaurants in town.

This is a walking tour. Most of the walking is done on road, 90% flat.
There is a very steep walk (about 8 minutes) to reach Quinta da Regaleira and Seteais.

Welcome to the most beautiful city in the world: Lisbon. I was born and raised in here and I cannot see myself living in any other city.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Tourism and was licensed National Tourist Guide in 1998. I finished a Degree in History in 2013 and in 2021 my Master in History and Philosophy of Science.
I have been working as a tourist guide with german, english and portuguese speaking groups in roundtrips/circuits within the country. I have experience in hiking tours, cultural tours and guided tours of monuments and museums throughout the whole national territory.
I manage the projects Passeios Literários and Lisbon by the Book — both specialized in literary guided tours of Lisbon, and work as a guide for both projects as well.
I’m the co-creator and responsible for the development of guided tours through the cultural heritage of the city of Lisbon for the project História LX — History, Heritage and Culture of Lisbon. I’m also the co-creator and responsible for the project Guide in Lisbon — specialized Tours.
I have special interests in History, History of Science and Medicine and the History of Mentalities.
