It is completely flexible on the timing and number / nature of the sites visited; all depends on where I pick you up and drop you off, and just what you want to see and do. You'll explore Gilsangsa Temple, pass by old hanoks and stone walls, and end the tour at Sungkyunkwan, Korea’s oldest Confucian academy. In the 19th century, Korea was a time of enlightenment of civilization. With the expansion of Western powers into Asia, Korea became the stage for diplomats and missionaries from America and European countries. Deoksugung Palace, which experienced upheaval after King Gojong declared the Korean Empire, talks about the past. Along the walkway leading to Gwanghwamun Square, the zero milestone is the starting point to understand Korea.

Korean War Museum and Memorial in Central Seoul -- a good alternative to the DMZ

I don't recommend day-trips to the DMZ -- the JSA remains off-limits due to North Korean policy, and anyway most of what you see is just barbed-wire fences and various monuments; a trip there does not give insight into North Korea nor about the 1950-53 war. The long trip driving up there & back is not worth your precious time. There is a very good alternative, which is this gigantic compound in the middle of Seoul -- a large museum of the Korean war & outdoor display of weaponry from that era.

We will visit Changdeokgung Palace, the most beloved palace of the Joseon Dynasty, a royal dynasty of Korea. Changdeokgung is so beautiful that it has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, we will take a walk along a charming stone wall road. We’ll stroll along Seosulla-gil, a historic path once patrolled by royal guards. We’ll enjoy popular Korean street foods like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes), which were also favored in the royal court.

Easy Hiking! - Best Seoul City View and Han River View

Do you like nature and hiking? Then we should hike! :) There is a 'Acha mountain', where you can see the amazing view of Seoul and Han River view. It's not too hard, and usually it takes 2 hours or 2 and a half hours. And don't worry we can take time, and go slowly as well. You'll love it!

And Cheonggye Stream, which runs through the center of Seoul, is the border between Bukchon and Namchon.
