My name is João, a native son of Porto. I've been a certified Tourism Animator for the last 5 years, a Gentleman Rider for a few decades now and most importantly, in love with my city, her stories and importance in the World history. After a successfull, but not very fullfilling, career in management and mechatronics engineering, I decided to create experiences that would allow me to work on and share my passions: my classic motorcycles, the love of my city, history and storytelling ( yes, I talk a bit!) That combination came together naturally to create my tour experiences that use the old neighborhoods, landmarks, viewpoints and facades to tell you the history and stories of Porto. ( It also allows me to start tours with guests and end with friends. ) My tours focus on: Porto history, local stories, local perspective, landmarks, vistas & viewpoints, photography, Port wine tasting. I became a Tourist Guide in 2015 when I decided to give professional continuity to a life that had already crossed other professions. My passion for history and travel brought me the desire to study and share knowledge about the "history of places", to go beyond what we see, to enter the soul of what we visit and to learn a little about the mentalities of those who inhabited and lived in the same places we visit today.
