My name is Ricardo and I was born and raised in Porto City. Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside. In this last year 2020 and even this year 2021 with pandemic work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living your life. Come and see my amazing town Porto and Douro Valley Wine Region from the eyes of a local !!! Hope to see you soon. Cheers !!! Ricardo

We are mindful of the changes the tourism boom has brought to Lisbon in recent years, which is why we support the art of hospitality without neglecting our genuine Lisboan identity and this is what we will share with you. We like detours and how they keep surprising us. We might stop for 20 minutes to see the sunset or take a walk and go have a ginginha at that special place. “The best Guide I have had by far!”
I have been coming to different portuguese cities and booking guided tours for the last year and a half, and Fernanda has been the best guide I have had by far. Not only does she own an extreme wealth of knowledge on both Braga and Guimaraes, what is even more impressive ia that she trasudes a deep love for her country, for its history and a clear passion in transmitting her knowledge to clients. “Rias Baixas and Santiago de Compostela”
We were picked up in Porto by our driver Luciano and headed to Santiago. Along the way we stopped in Valenca and Tui, had a wonderful lunch in Cambados and the Rias Baixas area then ended up in Santiago. Luciano was very personable, punctual, safe, and knowledgeable. He was flexible with our schedule as we slightly changed our plans along the way and how much time we spent. This was very much appreciated. And Raquel was outstanding as well working with me to schedule the trip and recommending several stops along the way. An overall excellent experience with both Luciano and Raquel. I will use GoWith again.
