Ballesteries street
We talk about the xuixo, the most well-known gironinian sweet: it's a fried butter bun filled with cream.
We reveal the legend of Tarlà, which has a lot to do with the origin of the xuixo.
And we taste the delicious xuixo :-)
Archeologic route
Here we find a special scultpure: it's the housekeeper. This lady used to work for our bishop and patron: Saint Narcissus. According to the legend she invented the sweet sausage.
Cathedral square
We admire the main religious building in town: Cathedral of Santa Maria.
We don't enter inside, we follow with the tour through the old quarter.
Optional: visit the Cahtedral inside. Entrance fee is 7 EUR per person.
Jewish quarter
We walk along the Jewish quarter.
This is the area of Girona where the Jewish community lived for six centuries.
Its made up of lovely narrow streets and medieval patios.
Oil's square
During middle ages, the oil's market took place here.
It's an iconic spot, where many series have been filmed.
Rambla
The main pedestrian street in town with cozy atmosphere.
Full of cafés and shops.
Eiffel's bridge
This red iron bridge was built by Gustave Eiffel company 12 years before the Eiffel tower of Paris.
We cross that bridge, which is located over the Onyar river.
You can enjoy one of the best views of Girona coloured houses.
Santa Clara street
Here we stop at Rocambolesc gelatto store, run by Jordi Roca, the little brother of Roca family, owners of the famous Celler de Can Roca restaurant, the world's best restaurant two times.
You can taste the icecream you like the most!

The tour includes two tastings:
- the xuixo - it's a fried pastry bun cream filled and sugar outside
- the icecream - there are many options: apple flavour, lioness icream, Game of Thrones icream, etc.
If you cannot eat cream, there are xuixos made with single cream.
If you prefer, instead of a xuixo, you can get something else of the backery.
