About Tour Guide Masayoshi K.
Hello and welcome!
I have been living in Kamakura for about seven years, just a short five-minute walk from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. I truly love this city for its unique combination of historic temples, peaceful nature, and traditional streets.
One of my favorite hobbies is walking around Kamakura with my camera and capturing everyday scenes of the town. I enjoy discovering small streets, quiet temples, and scenic viewpoints. I use a Sony α7CII camera and enjoy helping visitors capture beautiful and memorable photos of their trip.
I also run twice a week in the morning, often along Kamakura’s hiking trails or by Yuigahama Beach. Because of this, I am very familiar with many walking routes and hidden paths in the area. If you enjoy nature, hiking, or longer walks, I would be happy to guide you through some of Kamakura’s beautiful spots.
I graduated from a university in the United States and continue to use English regularly in my work and through international exchange events. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and sharing the charm of Kamakura in English.
During our tour, I hope to show you not only famous places such as the Great Buddha and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, but also the relaxing atmosphere, nature, and everyday beauty of Kamakura. I would also be happy to help you take great photos so you can bring home wonderful memories of your trip.
I look forward to exploring Kamakura together with you!

Dear Chester-san, Thank you very much for this wonderful review. I was truly happy to read it. It always makes me glad when I can help travelers who are interested in Japan and are enjoying their trip, and spending the day with you was a real pleasure for me. I am very glad that the plan suited you. I always like to offer a few options beforehand and shape the day around what you would like to see. In early June, I was not sure whether the hydrangeas at Meigetsu-in would already be at their best. When I went to check the day before, I found them just beginning to bloom beautifully, and I knew I wanted to take you there. On the day, it made me very happy to see how much you enjoyed them. There were still few other visitors, so we could take our time, and I was able to take many nice photos for you. I was also glad that you liked the lunch at a small restaurant on a quiet back street. Talking about Kamakura's history is one of the things I love most, and I hope these photos bring back the memories of that day whenever you look at them. Thank you again for your kind recommendation, and for spending the day with me. If you ever come back to Japan, it would be my pleasure to guide you again. With warm regards, Masa

Yumiko O.
Hello, my name is Yumiko, and I am a licensed tour guide based in Japan. It is my pleasure to share the beauty of Japan with travelers from all over the world. I have guided many visitors through Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, and other famous destinations, as well as hidden gems that only locals know. My goal is always to create a tour that is not only informative but also enjoyable and personalized to your interests. With a warm and flexible guiding style, I love helping guests discover Japan’s traditions, history, and everyday life. Whether you are interested in temples and shrines, delicious local food, or simply strolling through charming streets, I will do my best to make your time in Japan unforgettable. I am excited to announce that I have started offering tours in Odawara! Odawara is a historic castle town located just an hour from Tokyo, famous for its impressive Odawara Castle, beautiful views of both the sea and mountains, and its role as the gateway to Hakone. In addition to exploring the castle and tasting local specialties such as fresh seafood and kamaboko (fish cakes), you can also enjoy many Instagram-worthy spots, from the scenic coastline to charming traditional houses that give a glimpse of Japan’s past. Odawara is still less crowded compared to other popular destinations, so it’s a great time to visit. I look forward to welcoming you and creating wonderful memories together!

Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.
