Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities.
Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns.
I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges.

“Yacco was the best part of our Japan trip! She is excellent! ”
We were vacationing in Japan for two weeks and the two days we spent with Yacco was the best part! Yacco thoughtfully worked with us before the trip to tailor our itinerary to fit our needs and time constraints. She took our feedback to heart and spent her own time to research points of interest that we would enjoy Yacco graciously listened and took an interest in us during the tour. She made small adjustments during the tour and made sure we were the focus...not the itinerary. Yacco inspired us, and gave us a tour of the Japan we didn't know we needed. “Amazing tour with Yacco ”
We had the best time with Yacco in Kamakura. She is so thoughtful and caring and put together the best itinerary for our family and arranged all the reservations needed ahead of time. It is obvious she loves having visitors and tailoring a program for their needs and desires. She taught us so much about Kamakura, history in Japan, and also about Japanese culture, religion, and tea ceremonies. This was definitely a highlight of our time in Japan and we HIGHLY recommend Yacco to others wanting to get the most from a trip to Kamakura!
