Hello, my name is Yumiko, and I am a licensed tour guide based in Japan.
It is my pleasure to share the beauty of Japan with travelers from all over the world. I have guided many visitors through Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, and other famous destinations, as well as hidden gems that only locals know.

Odawara is a historic castle town located just an hour from Tokyo, famous for its impressive Odawara Castle, beautiful views of both the sea and mountains, and its role as the gateway to Hakone. In addition to exploring the castle and tasting local specialties such as fresh seafood and kamaboko (fish cakes), you can also enjoy many Instagram-worthy spots, from the scenic coastline to charming traditional houses that give a glimpse of Japan’s past.
Odawara is still less crowded compared to other popular destinations, so it’s a great time to visit.

Odawara Photogenic Instagram-Worthy Tour — A Hidden Gem Near Hakone
Please note that this tour takes place in Odawara, not Hakone. Odawara is a relaxed coastal city and a hidden gem with far fewer tourists than Hakone. We will visit 3–4 photogenic spots; the seaside, retro cafés, the old house, etc (varies by day). Historical places like Odawara Castle (outside only) and shrines are also included. This is mainly a walking tour, with some public transport. The meeting point is Odawara Station, with optional Hakone-Yumoto pickup. Custom itineraries are available.

“It was a great experience”
Yumico is a very friendly Tourguide. She planed and managed everything perfect. Because of the weather she changed the programm a little bit. We received great information from her. And what luck! When we got off the cable car at the mountain ridge, the clouds parted and, as a crowning finale, revealed a view of Mount Fuji.

“Rain interfered”
Yumiko made a nice plan but it was raining so we could not do most of it. We did get to see the Peace Torii without a line because it was pouring. She then suffered Odawara Castle and it was dry in that area. Yumiko was nice and tried to accommodate us. Next time, maybe the weather will cooperate.

Thank you very much for joining my Hakone tour today. Since it was Sunday, Hakone was quite crowded, and I’m sorry that we couldn’t always move around smoothly. I hope you still enjoyed the tour. Thank you also for sharing so much knowledge about trees with me. I learned a lot from you, and it was very interesting. The type of tree that Priest Mangan used to bind the dragon was agarwood. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. At the age of 52, I moved to a Japanese manufacturer company and had worked for 11 years. As a personnel manager, I engaged in hiring Indian graduates. Then for two years, I went to Tashkent in Uzbekistan as a JICA senior volunteer. I taught "corporate finance" at Tashkent Financial Institute in English.
