About Tour Guide Yoshi S.
Hello, I'm Yoshi!! I started my second career as a tour guide after retiring from the Japanese computer company I had worked for about 40 years. I was born in Asakusa and grew up in down town in Tokyo. I’m married with two daughters and three grandchildren, two girls and a boy.
I've experienced guiding international visitors in Tokyo and other famous sightseeing spots as a guide for several years. I will be so happy to help you enjoy your stay in Japan. Look forward to joining my tour!!

I am available from 9am to 5pm everyday.
I am flexible to one day trip to Hakone, Lake Kawaguchi and Nikko if you pay my transportation fee on top of the tour in Tokyo.

“Fun experience ”
We wanted to see sumo wrestling but there were no tournaments. Yoshi arranged for us to see a morning practice. It was a great experience. Just beware you are sitting a square cushion in a small area and you’re not allowed to stretch out your legs. The river Cruise and walk along the shoreline was lovely. We had a great day with Yoshi. He’s knowledgeable kind and experienced.

Hi Shirley, thank you for your propmt and warm message. I'm honored that you enjoyed watching the sumo practice, even though it was quite an ordeal getting up early and sitting on small cushions. I'm also sorry that we couldn't find all the sweets you were looking for, but I'm glad you enjoyed shopping in Daiba and the Sumida River cruising on your last day as a guide. How was TeamLab? “Yoshi Was Amazing!”
This was our first trip to Japan and we were both excited and a bit nervous. Choosing Yoshi as our guide was the smartest decision we made on this trip. His communication with us, prior to the trip was excellent, focused and helpful. He gave us clear instructions on getting to Tokyo Station from our hotel near Narita airport. Yoshi met us with a sign on the train platform and then we began a day of discovery! After a quick review of our itinerary we picked up our “go everywhere” train passes and headed out. We learned about the history and nuances of every stop and absolutely visited gems we would have missed if we had done this on our own. Thank you Yoshi! After your guidance we did a 12 day cruise around the entirety of Japan but our experience with you will remain our favorite memory of the trip. Highly recommended!
